Miss Universe 2007

I am a huge fan of beauty contests. I really love to see women doing the catwalks, the way they carry themselves and the cleverness and intelligence they have in answering the questions. Just this May 28, in Mexico, the 2007 Miss Universe was being held. There were 77 candidates from different countries.

But among those 77 countries beating for the crown, a 20-year old Riyo Mori of Japan won the title! I was betting for Miss Korea to win. She's that beautiful and looks good to carry herself. Actually, there were a lot of beautiful candidates, or should I say all of them! :D

There were actually 5 winners in all plus 2 speacial awards. Fourth runner up is Miss USA, thrid is Miss Korea, second is Miss Venezuela and Miss Brazil ended up as first (runner-up).On special awards, Miss Philippines got the Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality for Miss China.

Many people watched the Miss Universe 2007 Pagaent last Monday (May 28,2007). The competition was tight and exciting. But, the was a scene were Miss USA's Rachel Smith fell down during their evening gown competition. I was actually shocked when I saw her. I can feel that she was hurt (especially her butt). But she then stood up and still did her thing very good.

But, I was then disappointed during the interview portion where, people (Iim not 100% sure they're Mexicans, but I'll say mostly of them) booing her (Miss USA). They must know how to show respect. Miss Universe owner Mr. Donald Trump said that the people's reactions were nothing personal to the Miss USA it self but due to some politicel matters. With that, I'll say that well, they must knoe how to make differ political and the pagaent. *sigh*

Miss USA ended up as fourth runner up despite of what happened. Congrats to you Rachel Smith! Good job!
