Mission Accomplished: 100 Boys Killed
65Sex Offender to Cold-Bloodied Murderer
Goal: To Kill 100 Runaway Boys in 200 Days
THE scandal caused by the rape case filed by two street and homeless boys of Lahore versus Javed Igbal Moghul- an intelligent person from a wealthy and respected clan- brought shame to his family. Especially affected was Igbal's mother who died shortly of heart attack as a consequence of this incident.
His mother's demise made an abrupt change in Igbal's mind. From sex offender he was transformed to that of a gruesome murderer. He pledged to avenge the loss of his mother by plotting to kill 100 homeless and runaway boys in 200 days.
Igbal accomplished his plan first by taking the names and photographs of his helpless victims. Then he killed them mercilessly by either strangling or poisoning them with their corpse soaked in drums with acid. This way Igbal pursued his heinous crimes until the 100th victim.
A film has been made to this effect. It detailed Igbal's methods and explained how he was able to commit these gruesome crimes undetected. This film assailed the attitudes of the Pakistani government, police and citizens toward the welfare of the runaway children in the ghetto or streets of Lahore.
Perhaps guided by an unseen hand, Igbal decided on the 22nd of November, 1999 to open the lid covering his crimes to the public. He wrote a letter to the crime reporter of the Daily Jang in Lahore, detailing his confession to 100 horrendous murders, pictures and instructions where to look for possible remains of his victims. All of these facts were extracted from his diary he kept especially for the purpose.
Javed Igbal Moghul was declared guilty of 100 murders. He was sentenced to death by dividing his corpse into 100 pieces and dissolved in a drum of acid (BIO, CI)..
