Mistake-Proofing Your Article Marketing Strategy
1. Know that people who visit the high traffic blogs want your information.
When you visit to submit, notice the many categories that will include personal growth, health, finances, even small business marketing. Your target audience is there and when they see what they like in your topics, they will flock to your website for more.
2. Avoid formatting your articles using Word.
Many newbies come to article marketing with their old print articles. Not good for the internet. Your audience online wants short and sweet how to articles. The high traffic blogs don't allow formatting with bold and differnet fonts. I recommend a free program called textpad. I've been using this one for 10 years. Just go to www.textpad.com to find and install.
It wraps your content at 65 characters per line, just right for your ezine and article submissions. It also alphabetizes data and is a great way to keep data on you computer.
3. Delegate article submitting to a techie assistant.
Hire directly from your high school. These students come recommended by their Internet Computer teachers. Expect to pay from $8 to $10 an hour, depending their skill level. You can also put an ad in Craigslist. I found wonderful mentors this way who loved assisting with web marketing. They learned business skills from me that will take them far in life. They usually stay a year to two years each. Now I pay my webmaster to submit them, costing me around $150-$200 a month.If I can make 15 or more times as much money on my site, that's a good investment. These articles bring contacts via my site with questions I answer, ezine subscribing and article subscribing through the RSS feeds I offer. When these opt-in subscribers give me their emails for my information, I send tips and announcements to them each week to keep me on their minds. With these data bases, my marketing arm expands a lot.
Write down now what you are willing to invest monthly for marketing yourself online. If consistent with it, your rankings will shoot up to winner status.

My Own Article Marketing Research Using Direct Contact Marketing
Since submitting articles to 100's of top web sites for seven years, when I Googled my name up came 220,000 sites that featured my books and coaching services. Over the last year, this number fell to about 70,000. We submitted three-four articles a day to each site two days a week and more. We thought we were smart. But, the rules changed. From this and other article marketing mistakes that myself and many more made, I found solutions and wrote another book on them.

It seems that now Google wants only one original article out there; the rest to be different enough so you miss the plagerism label. Today there are many new article submissions sites out there that flood the market with content quality down. They exist to sell affiliate programs, not help the article marketer..
Yes, you can keep submitting, but stop using article blaster services wtih their many softare glitches. As a client, I found them unsatisfactory. They didn't answer any email questions and submitted to just anybody. I felt like I was going crazy trying to communicate with them -losing time and money too.
Writing How To Articles Online
You want your business to be noticed by hundreds and more of unique visitors at your web site every day. You already know that online article directories, ezine publishers, webmasters, and blogs want free content in all kinds of categories. But, you will have a much better chance of attracting your target audience, creating ongoing relationships, and accomplishing top product sales if you write an article that solves a problem for your audience.
Let's assume your audience is business people like yourself who needs a problem solved--to stop procrastinating, write a book, market a book, create wealth, market a business, create wealth, or develop a loving relationship.
How to write a good article?
How To Article Writing Formats That Bring your Audience Flocking to your Site.
1. Write a How To Article
Information hungry business people want this one! First, open with a hook--something that will entice your reader to keep reading. That may be a shocking fact, a ponder question.
Then, establish rapport by including the background of the problem and where your audience is now with the challenge.
Follow with solutions and benefits in the article body to make a difference in their lives. You can number these for clarity.
Don't worry about your article giving away the store. Readers will judge you by your easy to read, organized, concise style and content, and will be come to your web site to see what else you offer.
To get started, make a list of topics you know or that relate to your business. Take one at a time and write a short piece on it. You can write a short article around 400 words to start.
For solutions to the problem, give information and resources that will assist your audience. That includes web sites with the URLs, book titles, or particular experts you know can help get to the solution.
Sample Article Titles from Clients:
"How to Procrastinate to Your Heart's Desires;" " How to Create Employees Who Can Hardly Wait to Get to Work Each Day;" and "Promote your Coaching and Speaking Business Through Free Articles."
2. Write Tips
This kind of how to article takes the shortest time to write and is also the easiest format. Even if you think you can't write, you can write a tip.
Create a title first. "Five Ways to Strop Procrastination." After the opening hook, include an introduction with your thesis--the point you want to prove, or the problem you are about to solve. Usually one or two sentences are enough. At the end, include a one or two sentence conclusion in which you add one more punchy way to stimulate your reader to act. Remember to include your power-packed signature file below each article or tip.
To write a tip, after the title....
- Start with a command such as " Do this."
- Follow that by the consequence of not following the tip. Or, show a benefit of following the tip.
- Show examples or resources to solve a problem and put the tip into action.
- Write an article with 3, 5, 7 or 10 tips in it. It's best to give a complete tip as listed above rather than just a list. Don't bore people with a long list.
- Tips can be 100-300 words. Keep some on your web site, combine them into a book to sell with correct headers and headlines.
The Biggest Mistake Even Experts Make
Starting one tip out with a command verb and using a noun phrase for the next one. This inconsistency makes the article difficult to read and understand quickly.
Expand your influence with how to articles. You'll attract new tailored visitors, clients and profits.
Do Not Give Up on Article Marketing
Know when you invest a regular amount each month, submit consistently, and follow these tips, you'll be on your way to big profits. If you have a question for the coach, please comment in the space provided.

Five Ways to Make Article Writing More Enjoyable and Fun
1. Prepare for writing by nurturing your body, mind and spirit with a short meditation.

My goodness but this article is horribly written! Just from the first paragraph. . . .
"You already know in?" I think the preposition you're searching for is "from."
"Increase the numbers?" I have to assume you mean "the number of." In addition, as the sentence is constructed "to be called an 'expert'" seems to refer to "the numbers (sic) of articles" rather than "you."
"Hand submit" and "mistake proof" should be hyphenated.
There may or may not be some good tips in here: I'll never know because I simply can't bear to read any further. Please do yourself a favor and buy a good style guide or at least ask someone to read and comment on your work before you post it.
I'm honestly not trying to be mean but . . . just . . . wow.

Sorry to be tardy in answering. I'm still new at getting around Hub, but from my mistakes and experiences, I'm writing a new book which will have most of the hub skills in. Maybe you can help. I started not submitting my own too. But soon Ilearnd tha for only $100 a month to start, I got 10-20X the sales. Try Craigs List or a high school computer student with internet skills. I started that way and I now use my webmaster who is briliant and reasonable. I think low priced help has made me successful more than anything else!

I always write my articles in word and sometimes I forget to put them into a non-word document like textpad.com and it really messes up the type when pasting into article directories. That's a great point to make others aware of!

My experience with online Press releases wasn't successful, even with great sales copy and a Publicity expert submitting the releases. Article writing is straight to your targeted audience and far easier to get big results (sales and opt-ins).
