Due to arrive on shelves for its worldwide release on February 11th, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the latest first person shooter to push the boundaries of modern graphical experience. Infinity Ward, the game’s developers, have had plenty of time to perfect their winning formula, this being their 6th bit at the cherry in the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty 4 (the game’s prequel) was a multi-award winning epic that captured the imagination of millions of fans around the world. It represented a leap forward in game development and shows exactly what is possible with current gaming systems.

The Call of Duty series has been built upon a solid base of single player gameplay; but its real attraction comes in the form of its multiplayer mode, which has become incredibly poplar over the last few years. Offering a range of different time periods and the ability to jump into the middle of some of history’s great battles, the Call of Duty series has seen almost unparalleled success recently.

The last offering from Infinity Ward was graphically superior to nearly all of the games that were available on the market at the time, and they look to continue this trend with the release of Modern Warfare 2, which is said to be yet another step forward in graphical visualization. Fans around the world are understandably very excited about the potential of this game, and it is unlikely to disappoint given the incredible reactions that the last games have been greeted by. Whilst fans eagerly anticipate the day of release, Infinity Ward are offering various versions of the game including a Prestige edition which includes a pair of fully functioning night-vision goggles; they’ve really gone all out on this one.
