Nowadays, golf is no longer considered to be just a relaxation sport. Instead, it is fast being carried away with all the latest technologies that have been developed to aid golfers.

One innovation that has now captured the imagination of golfers all around is the introduction of spikeless golf shoes. These shoes come with removable spikes that users can wear as per their wishes. These shoes have been specially designed so as to provide added comfort to the wearer. Many of the shoe manufacturers like Adidas and Nike design such shoes in materials that are completely waterproof so that golfers can wear them comfortably during the rains or even in the early hours of the morning.

The GPS tracking system is another device through which one can come to know the distance that the hit ball has covered. A GPS tracker proves to be very useful as it can estimate the distance from the tee off to the fairway, the distance to water hazards or even the distance to the front, back or center of the green. These devices are accurate to within one to two feet.

Another type of golf equipment that is lately being used more often is graphite in golf shafts. These graphite golf clubs have been gaining more preference over the traditional steel and so most new golfers tend to choose graphite over steel as they are much more flexible and help to reduce the vibrations that one feels when striking a golf ball.

In the choice of graphite or steel golf clubs, most women would prefer the lighter graphite shafts as it helps them to improve every aspect of their game.
