We spend so much time trying to work things out financially, make ends meet and to acquire those things that we believe we should have. The "must have" attitude is what has put the proverbial foot in the door for so many get rich quick schemes. These “Get Money Now Evangelist” have taken advantage of some people so completely that some were left with even less than what they had before and merely acquired more debt. Late night T.V. has made a mockery of financial desperation and created many superstar gurus, some deserve the title and others deserve jail. Regardless of their message those that are most desperate to have almost mindlessly chase after plans, throwing money (both their own hard earned value and borrowed from others) while pleading for the cure. It kind of reminds me of the Guyana Tragedy… you know, the whole “Jim Jones Cult thing” where they all follow this man to the “promised land” which is really some god forsaken land in the jungle where they drink this magic “poisoned filled” punch, which takes them to their death.

Whether or not these fanatical money throwers realize it, they’ve proven this saying to be true. There is always a better way, a new method, a better product on the market and a new crop of individuals that are desperately looking for a quick and easy cure to their financial turmoil or to become financially independent. The players change, the location of the game changes, but the game remains the same. If you don’t know how to use the plan that you have purchased, if you don’t know how to market a business on line or brick & mortar, and if you don’t know enough people … it will never work!

A new twist to an old game is to get the plan and/or product endorsed by a well known Motivational Speaker/Billionaire, Talk Show Host or Motivational/Informational Author who has not built his/her popularity based on multi-level marketing or network marketing. The logic behind this method is to use their popularity, positive attitude and their built in influence on their audience to get them to buy into a contract and or a product. It is actually very alluring to see a billionaire endorse and speak well of a product or system because if you want to be rich it only makes sense to listen to what is stated by the rich.

R.E.A.P. = Research, Education, And Planning is key to any business you would like to start up. First, count the cost by formulating a budget with which you are willing to invest. People tend to overspend because they are playing by ear. When you are approached by a Network Marketer don’t be afraid to do the research on the product. It only takes a few moments on the internet to look up reviews of current users. There are also websites that automatically does a review of all programs. Some of these sights are hosted by someone who is attempting to pull you into their opportunity… but if you visit the site for one reason … is sure to stay true to the reason for your visit. When you take your time, plan a budget and work it, you will find yourself to be right on target instead of in Guyana with no property, no family and a glass of poison that you refer to as punch.
