Michael Moore VS Sean Hannity Health Care battle
66
Of course when speaking of Michael Moore VS Sean Hannity the first thought is another right vs left argument, although in this case can this be seen as just 2 men different views. Hannity has carried his views from one extreme to the next on fox news, and it would appear that Fox news has encouraged this with him as they now are with Glen Beck. The issues here though are not about a person or a personal view; they are on Health Care reform. It is easy to sit and watch the show, knowing you have health care today and don’t have to worry about. The issue really is can things continues going as they are, or does change need to happen. Michael Moore VS Sean Hannity is not just a rating issue there is much more to it, of course that depends on how wealthy you are.
Michael Moore point of view is that with so many people losing their homes, and retirement saving because of inflated medical cost, the Government should step in and input a universal health care system. Of course this is going to raise taxes, and create a lot of new issue’s as this systems goes into effect in the U.S., it would also put the average health insurance companies out of business. The only need for a private health care provider would be when traveling out of the country. This is not the current Obama plan, this is Mr. Moore’s view. Obama plan works with the private insurance companies and has nothing to do with Michael Moore VS Sean Hannity battle.
Sean Hannity’s point of view is that other countries that have this, and have problems with it, he is able to show complaints with the system. Of course Hannity’s was quick to offer Michael Moore his last word, although as soon as he heard something he did not like he cut him off quickly. This did make for entertaining TV, although how entertaining is no health coverage. Sean belief is that charities should be able to help people with no health care out, because the Government cannot be trusted. He also offered to donate 10% more of his salary if Michael Moore gave up 95% of his worth. Not sure how that equals out to him, although Hannity really doesn’t think much like mainstream Americans anyway.
Here is the problem, while Fox news has some excellent reporters on it, Hannity is not one of them. With scare tactics he would like to convince the rest of the world that because a minority doesn’t enjoy having to share in the cost of health care that it is the worst system imaginable. When no matter what system is available there is going to be horror stories, the question is are they the exception or the rule. In the Countries that have universal healthcare coverage the horror stories are the exception and by in large people complain because it isn’t always as perfect as they imagine. That being said, when people from universal health care countries actually experience the one like the U.S. has they feel sorry for us and brag up their system. Now of course no American cares about how another country health care system may be better, and no American thinks their’s system is a joke. Fox news Reporter Sean Hannity doesn’t care if you have health coverage, he cares about ratings, and he knows he gets more rating by people watching a good show than if he showed the truth about all the people losing health coverage today.
For example, imagine being 3yrs from retirement having worked for the same company for over 30years. Over the past 5 years you watched your retirement slowly taking a hit in your 401k but you didn’t want to move for fear of not making your money back. Then one day you go to work and you accidently hurt your back, your work sends you for treatment. Here’s the problem at 62 your body has been worn down through the years, so workers compensation doctor say this injury is not caused from work. Here in lies the problem you will lose any saving you have and once your insurance runs out you have to be on disability for 2yrs before you start being able Medicare. So if you still owed anything on your home and your partial pension and early retirement status couldn’t take care of you hopefully a charity would. This case would almost be funny or impossible if it wasn’t true, of course this is only one story. The problem is most Americans that have been hurt at work after the age 60 don’t get workers compensation for this very reason.
In conclusion, Michael Moore VS Sean Hannity made for interesting TV, but it didn’t show the facts. One person finds facts they like and presents them; however, Michael Moore was willing to show Sean Hannity even with his facts it was still bad enough. The real question is that every American should be asking them is change needed or will it just blow over. I hear how this needs to be changed on this is going too happened, and then I hear don’t change were exaggerating. This all from one new source, I also hear them tell how other stations are not reporting the same news, and yet the world still finds out about it. I watch Fox news because of other anchors, I also watch CNN, MSNBC, and headline news, and I don’t believe anyone of them don’t have an agenda, although Fox news has really taken to the scare tactics side of it.
In my personal opinion we need a healthcare system that will cover Americans without a high cost, and what we have now is not working. Too many people have to use emergency rooms has outpatient clinics in America only to drive up the cost of health care for the average American. This system has not worked and is spiraling out of control. I have personally witness people who are losing their homes or who will lose their homes when they reach retirement strictly because of one or two health issues. Of course what does Sean Hannity care about the elderly in this county, he made enough money to plan for his retirement with many excesses.
