More Information Than I Can Handle
55Have you noticed all of the different work from home or make money online programs that are available today? Most of them have a picture of an easier life, with a chance to make $5,000, $10,000, or even $20,000 per month from home. They all make it look like it is just a breeze. Press a button and recruit over 400 people in a month. Hand over your credit card, and a few hundred bucks, and you are in business for yourself. Most of them don't tell you that you will have to spend many hours in training, on conference calls, and will probably have to invest in some sort of advertising to build your business. That is if they are even a legitimate business to begin with.
I recently joined facebook a few months ago and cannot believe all of the information I get on a daily basis. If I were to read each and every email I receive, I would literally spend 8 to 10 hours a day just absorbing more information (that's a full-time job). How do you avoid all of the information or limit your in take? Let me just say that if you are spending more than 5 to 10 hours per week reading information, or doing conference calls, you are wasting your time. Try and break your day down like this. For 1 hour social network, for another hour will follow up via telephone on all your fresh leads, for another hour will work with your team on training. If you are full-time you can double the time of the scenario I just gave to you. But at the end of the day, if you waste too much time on non money generating activities you will watch your business sink like The Titanic.
Don't get over involved in all of the opportunities that are out there. If you have joined an opportunity focus on that one. Don't join more than 2 MLM Opportunities maximum, you will be running around like a chicken with your head cut off. If people are in more than one, they are doing one for lead generation (giving away free training or an E-book with follow up emails) and the other as their parent company where they have to sell lots and lots of products to make any money. Keep it simple and don't complicate it. MLM is so simple that there shouldn't be more than maybe 3 or 4 different ways of doing it.
Here is MLM in a few sentences, you recruit a little, you train a little, and you work on your skills a little. That's it, there is no magic button. If you and your group don't make sales you don't make any money. In order to make money in MLM you have to sell lots and lots of products. Either you do this on your own, which I don't recommend (or you might as well keep your day job) or you do it through a large group (the only way to do it). You can use systems like the internet to grow your business and train your downline, or you can do old school network marketing - it is up to you. But if you think a computer is going to do all of the work for you, I hate to tell you, it is not going to happen. It is simply a tool to make recruiting, training, and sharing much easier. Don't buy into all the garbage that anyone can do this business with very little money and no skill set. You will have to make phone calls, you will have to train your team, and you will have to sell product. If your going to use the internet you will have to learn Web 2.0 or spend money advertising to be successful.
