A previous hub on "Innovative and Weird Gifts" covered pocket urinals for long trips, moleskine notebooks, bottles of skinned achovies, compact watering cans (for space-deprived apartments), and hand-held scissor-shredders. . . all available online.

But wait! There's more!

Waterless Car Wash

Know an apartment bound neat-freak who cares about conserving water?

Green Earth Car Wash offers a spray-on, biodegradable cleaning agent that sprays on and wipes off dirt, with the aid of a microfiber towel. The product is dye-free, VOC-free, fragrance-free, and paraben-free, and it cleans most of the surfaces of your car: glass, chrome, plastic, and of course, paint.

A 32-oz. bottle is $23.00--a price that INCLUDES shipping! Each bottle will wash 7-10 cars. Or one car, 7-10 times. Whatever.

Green Earth sells the microfiber towels, too--although you can buy them at many stores.

Aero-Speed Rope Master

Who knew jumping rope involved more than... well, jumping?

Buddy Lee, Olympian and trainer, provides a complete jump-rope training system for the serious athlete. His products feature a "patented swivel bearing system, innovative adjustment and ergonomically designed handles." For those truly into fitness training, this could be the gift that keeps on giving.

Buddy Lee's Aero-Speed Hyperperformance Rome Master costs between $28 and $35. The "rope" is 1/8-inch hollow urethane that whistles with the wind. Those patented swivel bearings connect the rope to the padded handles, which can be adjusted to fit your height.

In addition to jump ropes, Buddy Lee sells training programs, DVDs, mats, and other exercise equipment.

Scratch and Sniff Wallpapers

Thought you'd heard of everything, right?

A New Orleans company called Flavor Paper produces scratch and sniff wallpapers in many scents: licorice, sage, lavender, cherry, banana, chocolate, peppermint (yes, I do seem to be fixated on the food flavors. Maybe I should go get a snack.)

As for patterns, they range for whimsical tutti-frutti designs in bright colors (like those on the far right), to the geometric styles of the first picture at top, and even classic lacy flocked patterns (which I like to think of as "bordello chic"). Ink colors are custom mixed in their lab, and The scent seems to be in the overlay or flocked parts, which are all hand-screened.

Flavor Paper Post-Katrina
Flavor Paper Post-Katrina

You may have seen their wallpapers at Bergdorf Goodman's in New York, at the 2006 NBA All-Star game, or at various redecorated chocolate shops (all temporary displays). The product was featured in an Extreme Makeover TV Show. It sells from the factory or through retailers in rolls of fifteen feet long, 27 inches wide, starting at $150 per roll.

An added bonus: if you buy from Flavor Paper, you are buying from a company in the 9th Ward of New Orleans--a company that survived Hurricane Katrina and is keeping people employed in a hard-hit area.

There's Always Neiman Marcus

If these items don't cover your shopping needs, there's always the Neiman Marcus Fantasy gift catalog.

This year they're offering your own submarine, the NM-Edition Gem Triton 1000 designed by U.S. Submarines®. "ABS-certified, three-axis maneuverability. Dives to 1,000 feet. 360-degree views from your high-density acrylic bubble. Luxury leather seats with our logo. Joystick steering, with a gemstone set in the stick. Matching gemstone key chain. Air conditioning even."

All for $1.44 million.

Ever wonder if anyone has a Visa limit that high?
