More Nude vs. Naked

After struggling for weeks with numerous unfinished poems and a now obvious case of writer's block, I have decided to publish another pictorial hub. This way I'm not really writing at all. Aren't I clever? It may be the idea of this particular hub, that made manifest my writers block to begin with. Looking at myself nude, not a problem. Sharing that same photo with countless strangers; I'm undecided how I feel about that. See, after my original Nude vs. Naked hub, it was suggested that I come out from behind my avatar and "expose" myself as the model instead of the photographer. My initial reaction was, "ya right." But, as I pondered the idea it slowly changed in to a, "well maybe." Finally I decided I could just have the pictures taken and then decided. That's how I do most things in life, incrementally.
A couple of my girlfriends cheerfully volunteered as photographer. I think, they thought it would be good for my rebirth into the world or something. One of these girlfriends, took some pictures of me a week ago. I cropped them, and turned them into black and whites. Once that was done I just stared at them. Should I? Will I regret it later? Can I see art in myself or will I only see nakedness. What makes my body so sacred anyway? I am, after all, made up of the same stuff as you, flesh and bone, good features and flaws. So maybe to cure my writers block, maybe as proof of my independence, or maybe because Kat, my model in the first hub, double dog dared me, I have stepped out from behind the camera.
Then there is the other dilemma, do I show my face? I've hidden behind my avatar since I created this alter ego. Am I willing to let that guard down too? I guess I am, at least for the purpose of "art."
In the critiques of the first Nude vs. Naked hub, it was mentioned that all the foliage in the background was distracting. So for this batch of photos I tried to find a more neutral setting. Another difference, the lighting on this day was not as dramatic as the day I did the other photo shoot, so the images are much softer. I don't know if that's a bad thing, or just different. I did all black and whites this time, as it was hands down considered more artistic.
I hope I didn't step over the boundaries of impropriety. I hope you view these as art and not erotic, as nude and not naked. Although, as we discussed in the last hub, it really is in the eye of the beholder.
O.K., now I sit and await your judgement. I think I need a beer.

I can't believe you did it! Well...you look absolutely stunning! A beauty in nature, the stuff poems are made of. You shine from within and it thrills me. And so now the world knows. Yes, to me these are art, but then you yourself are art. I know how much courage this took...or at least how you had to work up to it, and I hope you are happy and proud. First of all, I don't think you'll get any negative comments or get chastised, but, if you did, don't you dare take them down and don't you dare in any way feel ashamed or embarassed! These are fantastic! If you get any comments, tell them to come talk to me, I'll set them straight!
Wow! RB, This is definitely beautiful pieces of art. I admire you for your courage, and am honored that you shared your nude artwork with us fellow hubbers. I like photos 3 and 6 the most, you look more relaxed and more natural with the environment around you. I also think the softer image is not a bad thing. As Gypsy said, "You are Beautiful" my dear.
Now who suggested you come out from behind the camera??? A great idea whoever it was. Glad to see you decide to show your face....though I've seen it before. Very tasty....uhhhh....I mean tasteful.....damn I'm getting tongue tied.....and drooling. Yes, very artistic indeed! You should do more.

My girl likes to dabble with photography and I've always enjoyed her black and white pictures. Even in film black and white just flat does it better than color. I'm not really sure why, but it's more artistic that way. Have you ever considered doing something sepia toned?

Wow RB, your gorgeous! Those are very beautiful photos, and very tastefully done. You have a beautiful face. It's nice that you have finally decided to let everyone see it. You've inspired me. I'm definitely going to have one of my girlfriends or my sister take some tastfull nude photos of me very soon. Although I'm sure that the quality of the photos won't be as great as the ones of you or the ones you took of your friend.

I'm totally at ease being nude in front of my girlfriends and female family members, women at the gym, etc. But the time I'd need the drink/s would be if I decided to show the photos to anyone that I'm not close with. Your brave for posting them on the internet. But you should be very proud of your beauty and the beauty of your photos.
Is there any possibility of you posting some of them in color sometime?

I myself did not find the foliage to be distracting in the last hub. The setting is all part of the picture. These were all very tastefully done. It worked well in the order in which you put them. The lighting is indeed softer, which goes well with the pics. You are a beautiful woman. I loved all of them, but the last pic is probably my artistic favorite. Kudos for going forth with this.

AIDY- At first I thought the words were juxtaposed to the dark video, but really even though the song is about angels its not sweet.

A girlfriend of mine told me that I should checkout the works of a photographer named David Hamilton because she thinks that he has beautiful and tasteful photos that I would like. But I want to find out more about his photos before I do a search for his work because she said he photographs a lot of nude teen girls. I have no problem with seeing photos of nude teen girls as long as their art and not porn, and as long as it's legal.
Do you know anything about David Hamilton's work?
Never heard of him. But the fact that he does a lot of teens makes me very uncomfortable, unless that means 18 and 19?

I looked up some of David Hamilton's photos. They were mostly adult women in his photos. There may have been a few teen girls in the photos? But they were all very tastefully done, definitely art, not porn.

Yes, I would recomend his photos to someone who loves tasteful artistic nudity. If someone was looking for porn they'd be wasting their time with his photos, I'm sure porn fans would be quite bored with his photos. I have read (like my friend mentioned) that he has photoraphed a lot of teen girls, but from what I read they were completely artistic photos, plus he photographs many women. In fact I mainly came across the photos of adult women.

Breathless works of art in the flesh, shades of gray and black and white come alive, one cherishes the mystery of any further nakedness, and the vulnerability of your anything but randy behavior. I did not as a man feel lust, but more of a closeness, an intimacy with a fellow poetess,
though that is not to say that your beauty would not be welcomed fully clothed or otherwise in my realm. LOL--I am not blind nor neutered.
