More Unemployment To Be Shared Equally

WHAT DOES THE GOVERNMENT REALLY KNOW?

Well President Obama wants the citizens of the United States of America to share the wealth equally; I guess it works both ways. When unemployment rises workers of all income brackets now have the same income from their jobs. Wait, they no longer have jobs! I guess their working income is the same, score one for the President. After all he wanted equal distribution of wealth and he’s getting his wish.

WHAT DID THE PRESIDENT SAY UNEMPLOYMENT WOULD TOP OUT AT?

When President Obama took hold of the reins, unemployment was 7.2%, he said; because of the “Stimulus Package,” it would not go over 8%. http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2009/07/white-house-adviser-stimulus-is-working-but-unemployment-could-grow-in-2010.html Lets be honest; we would all love to see 8% unemployment at this time. The latest report came out two days ago and once again unemployment has risen, it is now 10.2%. http://beltwayblips.dailyradar.com/story/unemployment-rate-hits-10-2-in-october/ . A great prognosticator he and his team, you get the point.

SO WHAT’S GOING ON IN YOUR STATE?

I’m going to take a wild guess; I bet you know someone that either lost or can’t find a job. If you don’t know anyone in the preceding categories; where is the cave you are living in? Here’s a look at the Bureau of Labor Statistics latest findings. http://www.bls.gov/news.release/laus.nr0.htm I want to say that I hope none of you are in the unemployment category, but that would be impossible going by the numbers.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Looking at the administrations predictions, I don’t think we can trust them. You remember the “fool me once, etc.” Why would you believe them now? I haven’t heard their latest predictions, but I would bet it’s going to be higher than that. In discussions with friends, we were able to settle on unemployment capping out at 12% or slightly higher. I have actually set the bar as high as 15% that is my worst case scenario.

SOME OF OUR STIMULUS MONEY GOES FOR WHAT?

I don’t care who you are or what you believe in; there is no way you know everything in the Stimulus Bill. Even our President has admitted he doesn’t know everything in the bill. I do know there are things know right minded person would agree with, at least that’s what I think. Check below to see if you agree with me.

CAN THIS BE TRUE?

This week the Chicago Tribune reported a story from the Illinois city of North Chicago, concerning something positive the Stimulus Package has done for that city. The White House told the Tribune reporter that because of the Stimulus Bill 460 teaching jobs had been saved. The White House hates to here the word lie, but if it fits… It seems there are only 290 teaching positions in North Chicago, Illinois. Is it mathematically possible to achieve what they say they have?

I'm retired and a bit out of touch with the employment situation except for what I read. However, in the 1970's I had a lot of personal experience with it. I even took a couple of government "make work" jobs. It was something to keep one busy but led to nowhere.

They admitted that "jobs saved" meant the workers got raises. In fact 2/3 of the job saved category

Share the wealth so Obama can have all his parties at the white house.

Actually Jigerish, Obamamath may be more like 1+1=1. Hard to tell his thinking.

And where do we go from here. Well with the health care reform and the cap and trade and his other job killing proposals, I guess 20% unemployment.

Keep on hubbing!

Harvey,

Since actual unemployment is already 16% (counted + discouraged) actual unemployment will hit at least 22%. The progressives don't care about the people as long as they get their agenda passed.

Da,

I remember the 70's well. As a good salesman I was never out of work, but I had eyes. I was at the age of friends getting married; who could purchase a house with those rates. Young people think they know what gas prices means now, ha. I'll bet you remember waiting in long lines!

Many friends are now retiring, but their kids can't find work. Those without college degrees used to look to factories: now it's what factories, we hardly produce anything anymore.

How do you create jobs with less production?

vraj,

How can anyone define a saved job? It's all smoke and mirrors.
