A Challenge or what?
When I received this e-mail from hubpages, requesting that I write a hub on.......I thought to myself , Is this a challenge or what? Having not had the courage to enter into the frenzy of the 100 hub in thirty days nor the 30 hubs in 30 day hubchallenge , I decided that I would use this request -
HOW MANY HUBS CAN YOU WRITE IN ONE HOUR AND IN ONE DAY?
to personally challenge myself , just to see you understand.
Perception of this request.
Upon first reading it seemed like a simple answer would suffice, One hub in an hour if I knew the topic but if I needed to research for information then that would make a difference and can take considerably longer.
Then, there is the day aspect. Does a day mean a working day of eight hours or a literal day of 24 hours.
Do you then take the one hub and multiply that by eight or twenty four, which would be totally unrealistic, one has to eat and possibly sleep during the course of time.
Decision
I have taken this request as a personal one, and bearing that in mind, the answer has to be, I have no idea! To this end I have decided to find out . Hence over a period of eight hours which I perceive a day to be , I will endeavor to answer this question truthfully and with the proof that this is so.
Each hub will have on it the time I start and the time that I finish and the total time taken . When I have the eight hours completed each hub will cease to carry this:-

and things for me will return to normal. All of the hubs created in this one day challenge will be catagorized under one heading for easy reading.
To answer the hub question ' More difficult than the hubchallenge?'
No this is not more difficult than the hub challenge, this is a one day wonder, and I am well aware of this fact. I believe that anyone could take this challenge knowing that it is just for one day.
I take my hat off to all those taking part in the hub challenge , 1 day is one thing but to continue with the pressure for a full 30 days is nothing short of amazing , Full marks to all taking part.
Ok so now I am done, the answer to the question is FOUR , How the challengers can keep up the pace I really do not know. I am humbled beside them. Could I repeat this process? not for another six months . Congratulations to all those participating with the challenge.

Hi Cindy, it should be , don't like adding pressure, but couldn't answer any other way.
Yeah Hawkes, gets like that sometimes. I've done some comedy now going to do some travel I think. Reports at work, so need to remember some of our wonderful holidays to ease the stress and pressure!
Good liuck with it Cindy, just done one on plum puddings, think you might have requested that at some point , now doing one on eye care.
Good Luck with this - I soon got fed up with the other challenge, I was 'on-target' with my output, but really did not like the changed ambience around here ..... this sounds much more sane. You should do at least one about Cornwall ... it is so far from London and I think would be of interest to a lot of the US readers here - the English Riviera and all that ....

Thought that was good , will only be one day, how they manage thirty, God only knows.
Since I took part in the challenge in the first week, I know the answer for myself. I can't do more than 7 in 24 hours. :)
I am doing what I can when I can with hopes of producing good hubs, I have quit counting but I think i have only done 7. It has been and will continue to be a challenge of catch-up and complete.

Good luck to you and I hope you have fun doing this personal challenge. I did not take part in the other challenge - as it is already a challenge for me to produce at least 1 hub in a week! LOL I guess writing challenges are not for the lazybones like me! :D
You've already done 3 in 3 hours, so if you keep that pace, you'll be way beyond my reach. :)

Thanks Candie and cashmere, it was a bit of fun, only managed four, the last one on my hometown brought lots of memories and took time. I just wanted to get it right.

Hawkesdream, I know I could only do one in one day. Even in weekends when I stayed home in the house for one whole day (and did nothing but eat and sleep in between), I still ended up with one hub. Hahaha Oh well... good luck to your personal challenge. :-)
Thanks for dropping in ripple, do think that doing more than one seriously changes your mindset. One, gives you the time to give your hub the justice it deserves, I did three before I realized this , then spent the rest of the time on my 'Wadebridge' hub.
Interesting thoughts, Hawkesdream. I have only managed three in a day, but spent far too much time surfing for tasty pix to illustrate my maunderings. Cheers.
Did you see the four Red Elf, this one was included in the four, my last one about my home town, was the last one and took me nearly 4 hrs to do. Thanks for reading.
I think I'd take a rain check on this one, sounds much too difficult for me.
