54Look for the Good
Life can be very overwhelming when we are not prepared to face the enemy. I've come up with 3 more ways to take action against my negative thinking. My first 3 steps can be found on my 1st hub - Think it Positive.
(A long time ago, there was a television show called "Good News" that informed the watchers of the positive things going on in the world. Whatever happened to that?)
So here are 3 more steps I've added to my battle plan and I'm hoping I won't need to refer to them too often:
Instead of cursing the flat tire that left me on the side of the road, I will notice, while I wait for the tow truck, the birds singing in the trees and the flowers blooming along the sidewalk and the hunk that just drove by in the blue convertible.
Instead of fuming while waiting in the long grocery line and glaring at the cashier, I will smile at the person in front of me or behind me and maybe make a new friend. (We have so much in common, after all. :)
Instead of complaining about the punk next door, I'll praise the kid down the street who has beaten the odds and risen over and out.
A positive attitude is a wonderful thing. If any of you have more ideas on turning negative thoughts around, please let me in on them.
