Morning Or Evening Run
68Really, it all depends on individual lifestyle, I am not an early
worm catcher, with my busy work schedule and late night sleeping pattern,
I choose to run in the evening after work. But if I got the choice, I
prefer to run in the morning, where the air is cooling, and a good
workout is all I need to start a new day. Put aside studies and
research on why running in the morning or evening is better, it is just
a matter of tuning your body and mind to work at certain times of the day. I observed that afternoon run is popular among busy working adults, and some even go
for night runs, of course, the super runners probably don't care, they
run when they can.
Still, I will like to share some advantage of running in the evening, with myself as reference:
Mainly, your body has already "loosened" up and less rigid, it is easier to stretch and faster to get into running mode.
Feeling stressed out after work? Running can help to destress and clear your mind, it will also help you get into sleep faster if you are still thinking about your lousy day.
If you do not want to run alone, your colleagues and peers will be most likely to join you in the evening than in the morning.
After all that sweat out, both mentally and physically will feel good, you will feel a burst of energy flow through you, you will not feel guilty if your dinner is sinful.
Okay, the last one might not be too convincing to be considered an advantage, its more for seasoned runners, beginners might feel totally drained, and cannot wait to hit the shower and bed.
You might want to incorporate some morning run into your training routine, remember that most of the running events are held in the wee hours of the morning, so its good to have a feel of your body condition, and of the environment, because the air might be a little "heavy" for some.
Some claimed from the internet that morning run burn fat faster, I do not know how true, let me know if it works, I will definitely go for my zombie run.
