Graduate Lab. Instructors in W.B. are holding status of College teachers in all purposes and they are enjoying lecture scale (8000-13,500). Qualified Instructors have 55% marks in Master's level even they have Ph.D. degree and engaged in research activities apart from holding their laboratory parctical class to the students & guiding the students in demostration activities as an associate teacher. Iam sorry to state that Instructors have not come under the purview of pay revision. I once again requst Prof. M.K. Chadda to consider the case of Instructors under the purview of 6th pay commission of UGC for teachers.

Very good info Nancy. For anyone who has basic spreasheet skills I'd also recommend doing a simple monthly cash flow forecast in Excel with adjustable interest rates just to see how tight your situation would be should they go up a couple of % points or so.
