Are You Learning Or Part Of The Lesson?

All these renegade, magnetic, attraction marketing or sponsoring articles and emails are about to make me ill. Not to mention this new spider thing. There is an old saying that the easiest person to sell to is a sales person, so I guess the easiest person to market to is a marketer. Now I'm not saying these people are wrong, slow down and read before you start leaving nasty comments or send me an ugly email.

Let's start at the beginning, Network or Multilevel marketing is exactly that, marketing, plain and simple. After all it's right there in the name, but the again I've run into some who think a bookkeper should work in a library. Anyway marketing is what? Some will say it's selling or the development of persuasion communications or, and more correct, the psychology of selling. To be successul in marketing, I believe you need only to sharpen two skills. Yes, just two and you already have them, all you have to do is hone them. Those two skills are unwavering self confidence and communcation skills.

A great example can be found in the movie "Catch Me If You Can." Remember the movie with Tom Hanks and Leo DiCaprio, It's a true story. Watch it again and notice how Leo learns each position he seeks. He learns to speak and carry himself in the ways that markets him to people he seeks.

For the most part most articles have come from evangelist for some real honest hard working marketers. People who have cut their marketing teeth in direct sales through building and motivating a network or multilevel marketing organization from the ground up. These people have paid their dues by crawling through the trenches daily and have mastered the science of marketing.

But Buyer Beware!

Unfortunately you'll find some out there that have purchased and renamed books and programs from one of these master marketers and is now calling it their own material. Now while they can provide you with basic concepts and stratigies to building your business they can not provide you with the day to day tactics and medias needed. You see the basic concepts stay the same but the vehicle for delivery and tactics to do so change constantly. Most of these copycats have no clue as to what is really going on today in the industry, let alone in the trenches.

A similiar situation can often be found with some of the old timers from networking. They've been too long removed from the activities in the trenches and have not kept abreast of all the changes in technology as well as in people. I do see where a couple of these masters have partnered with or are taking courses in internet marketing and social marketing to get back up to the speed of the 21st. century.

Back To Marketing.

What are the rules to successful marketing?

  1. Find something you have knowledge and passion in.
  2. Choose that area as your target market.
  3. Call out to your market niche directly or indirectly by name.
  4. Collect information from your niche, what they're looking for, their pain or pleasure and possible alternatives they see.
  5. Verify their pain and the outcome they seek.
  6. Give your solution to their pain.
  7. Give proof that your solution works.
  8. Call them to action.
  9. Answer their questions.
  10. Allow them time to make your solution their decision.

Here in is the real lesson applied.

Look at how you were turned into the evangelist for what ever program you're promoting.

  1. You have someone with knowledge, experience, stories in networking.
  2. They choose that as their target market.
  3. They call you out by name, directly-Attention Networkers or indirectly Don't listen to your upline, sponsor or company.
  4. Your contact info was collected for a report or e-book, you may have been asked for your biggest challenge.
  5. They verified your pain, Stop the rejection! orGoing broke on MLM leads?
  6. A solution was offered. Have people calling you.
  7. Testimonials are given showing sign up or income increases.
  8. You're asked to subscribe to a newsletter, attend a conference call or purchase an ebook.
  9. Through the newsletter, call or book answers are given to questions you have about their solution or your challenge. Through the newsletters, calls, emails you are give much valuble content and develop a know, like and trust factor.
  10. You make a decision that they have the answers and you become an evangelist. Because you made your decision in your time- you own it and will defend it.

All that they have learned in network marketing has just been applied to you and that is the real lesson that most miss.

I read this once before, but here in the still wee hours it some how makes sense to me. As I started this one course I remember what rubbed me wrong, but didn't know why. After I was told not to follow the upline, do not make that list, do not call friend and family, and do not buy leads to call. the course went into how to make a list of prospects calling you.

The fact was i still needed a list? The difference was in how i got the list? I could use the list I had, freinds and family or "the circle of influence" I could spend my money on leads list or "cold market," or I could spend my time and energy (which in essence is money) creating and putting out their copy to create a list of contacts.

By putting out their copy I build them up, sell their courses, books and seminars, collect a commission from the sale, and gain a name for my list. After re-reading this now I see what is happening and it is powerful. They called me out, touched my pain, offerd a cure and i bought it. This is what I need to do to my contacts....

Thanks soo much for sharing!!
