Bingo CHESS Dice Games

Games are a way to relax and have some good fun, take your mind of anything else going on.  Ancient civilizations came up with all kinds of games that have developed through time into games that we play today.

Some of the most popular games played in that are played today, as well as in times past are Bingo, Chess, and Dice games.  These games that we know now are not exactly the way that the ancients played them, but with the evolution of these games, they have become some of the most popular board and chance games that are played today. Here is some information as well as background on Bingo, Dice games, and Chess.

* Chess

History: Chess, at the time, was known as chaturaga, was developed in India in the 6th century.  On the other hand, people played chess in a different way during that era than what we play today. The more modern version started developing in England in the 1400's.  The game has still come a long way, but evolution of good things take time.  Around 1850 AD the game turned into a tournament, and thus the birth of tournament chess was born.

The Game: Chess is a game of great skill, concentration, and strategy. The game is played on a square checkered board containing 64 small squares. Each player controls 16 pieces, a king, and queen, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 2 rooks, and 8 pawns. Each piece has its own unique purpose, and can only move in certain direction and amount of spaces.  Although each piece is different, their main goal is to protect the king. The object of the game is to corner one's opponent and take their king.

* Bingo

History: Bingo actually is placed back to a lottery game played in Italy in the early 1500's.  It had many stages of evolving, but in 1929 a man by the name of Edwin Lowe was watching a game at a carnival, somewhat like bingo.  They were playing a game Beano, basically bingo, but with beans.  He took his idea back to his friends and he came up with the modern game we all know as Bingo.  By the 1940's bingo was a hit everywhere.

The Game: Bingo is a game of chance.  No skill required.  Cards are purchased and they contain letters and numbers on each space.  Once the letter and it's number, for example B8, is called it is then stamped and when you get them in a row, column, or a pattern that is chosen, the game is won.  Someone shouts out bingo and they claim their prize.

* Dice Games

History: There are so many Bingo CHESS Dice Games that it would take a book to cover them all.  The most popular would be the casino game craps.  Craps was developed and has been evolved from an old English game, hazard.  It can be traced back to the crusades.

The Game: Dice, like Bingo, is a game of chance.  If the dice rolls on your number, you win, if not, you lose.  It is probably one of the simplest played games of all time.  All you do is roll the dice and hope that you get what you need.

Games throughout history has kept us entertained and engaged.  With today's technology, online games are the new rage!
