Earth as seen from space

Why can't we see

Mother Earth

by Doyle Wheeler

A letter to her children:

I’m mother Earth made of rocks and dirt, the mountains and sea’s I’m the air you breath, the clouds the rain the wind that blows and the rivers that flow!

I give birth to the flowers and trees, the fish in the sea. The birds and bees depend on me!

It is I that gives life to all that you see so please stop killing me!

God up above with all of His love created me.

He gave me the responsibility of feeding you,

of giving you the air that you breath.

You’re taking more than I can replenish and leaving things that poison me.

Oh why can’t you see what you’re doing to me!

There is no future in killing me!

I love you you need me I’m dying!

Mother Earth

I am not a big fan of most of the poetry on hubpages, but this is really good.
