Mother's Day Cards Inspiration
66Mother's Day Cards - A Guide for Kids & Dads
Hey I wanted to share some inspiration with you for creating memorable Mother's Day cards to express your love for mom. I think poetry and art are a wonderful way to express a deep sense of gratitude and caring for your mother. A simple Mother's day card you buy from the store - while certainly better than nothing, will not touch your mom's heart in the way a customized Mother's Day card will.
If we aren't poets ourselves, then who better to look to for help than the masters of poetry and art - many wonderful artists - painters, poets, sculptors and more - drew their inspiration from none other than their mother, or perhaps the mother of their own children. Master poets like Kahlihl Gibran and Rumi both revered their mothers. Painter Gustav Klimpt and many more depicted mothers with beauty, warmth and love.
What's not to love about a mom that is dedicated, nurturing and loving toward her children, and all children for that matter. This kind of mom is truly special, and worthy of an extraordinarily special way of showing her that we notice all that she has done and still does day in and day out. Say "Thanks" and "I love you" this mother's day with a unique, well-thought our Mother's Day card. Thanks for reading my hub and enjoy!

Inscribe Your Mothers Day Cards with the Prose of Famous Poets
One way to personalize Mother's Day cards is to inscribe a beautiful poem you wrote yourself. Or perhaps, you could find her favorite poet, or your favorite poems about mothers and write that on the inside of your card. Below are snippets of several I think are perfect Mother's Day poems for your Mother's Day card!
"Mother: the most beautiful word on the lips of mankind."-Kahlil Gibran
"The mother is everything - she is our consolation in sorrow, our hope in misery, and our strength in weakness. She is the source of love, mercy, sympathy, and forgiveness. He who loses his mother loses a pure soul who blesses and guards him constantly."-Kahlil Gibran
"My mother was fortune, my father generosity and bounty; I am joy, son of joy, son of joy, son of joy. Behold, the Marquis of Glee has attainted felicity; this city and plain are filled with soldiers and drums and flags. If I encounter a wolf, he becomes moonfaced Joseph; if I go down into a well, it converts into a Garden of Eram. He whose heart is as iron and stone out of miserliness is now changed before me into a Hatem of the age in generosity and bounty. Dust becomes gold and pure silver in my hand; how then should the temptation of gold and silver waylay me? I have an idol such that, were his sweet scent scattered abroad, even an idol of stone would receive life through joy. Sorrow has died for joy in him of “may God bind your consolation”; how should not such a sword strike the neck of sorrow? By tyranny he seizes the soul of whom he desires; justices are all slaves of such injustice and tyranny. What is that mole on that face? Should it manifest itself, out of desire for it forthwith maternal aunt would be estranged from paternal [uncle]. I said, “If I am done and send my story, will you finish it and expound it?” He answered, “Yes.”-Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi

Who is the Universal Mother & What Does She Have to Do with Mother's Day Cards?
I wasn't sure if I should put this video about the Universal Mother up on my Hub page about Mother's Day cards inspirations because I want this page to have mass appeal and not turn anyone off. I guess I still think of the USA as being pretty closed minded and anglo-saxon "Christian" centered. I really do not mean any offense by that statement, so don't go getting your panties all in a bunch. I am a Christian myself (I love Christ and try to live as he instructed in the Greek Scriptures), I'm just not a "Christian" that gets spoonfed by my Church/Preacher based on their gross interpretation of a mangled Bible (if you can call some of the translated Bibles out there "Bibles" - King James version, being one mangled version I know of, hint hint).
The Christianity that has my faith is based on Oneness and knowing that God is both Divine Mother and Father. How could it be otherwise? Jah is not sex, race or religion. Therefore, this video about the Universal Mother calls attention to those qualities of God that are inherantly feminine and of the sweet, sweet love that a Mother gives to her children. We know that God gives love to all sons and daughters of the earth, and that this love manifests in both masculine and feminine expressions. Who more to inspire our hearts to love and appreciation than the Mother of us All?
