I added many motion sensor lights around my house and I love them.

One of the more useful products around my house are the motion sensor lights I have set up. I'm not just talking about the ones you find outside usually. When you speak about motion sensor lights most everyone thinks about the ones on your porch or outside of your garage when you drive up at night.

Most of the extra ones I have installed are battery operated. The good thing about that is I don't have to pay an electrician to come out and install one. I can add a light wherever needed! There are regular motion sensor lights and their are also LED. The battery-operated LED Motion Sensor lights shines bright indoors or out. You can always see one these baby's burning.

The battery-operated ceiling lights are great for a large closet, or to add security by a front or back entryway. I have some dark closets that no one thought to put in a light when the house was built. These were very handy and quick. The light fixture attaches easily, and provides warm white LED light whenever motion is detected. when I walk in, the light comes on and usually does an auto shut-off after 30 seconds.

I have a couple that are in weather-resistant plastic housing, and I use those on my back porch for extra light and also security lighting. You can use the LED Motion Sensor Light outdoors in a shed which is great if you happen to have one of those little sheds that was delivered on the back of a truck.

Here are some of the benefits of the LED Motion Sensor Light:

* Battery-operated lights can be used indoors or outdoors
* LED Motion Sensor Light activates only when needed, to conserve battery life (thats good)
* No electricity needed; put up the LED Motion Sensor Light anywhere.

My wife wants one under the kitchen sink cabinet so she can find her cleaning supplies. Hey why not? They are cheap.

Make sure you get the right batteries for your LED Motion Sensor Light. I use by Alkaline Batteries.

Places where I put motion sensor lights at my house.

I bought one for my downstairs storeroom which I often enter with my hands full. The light comes on as soon as I open the door. I don't have to hunt for the string to pull to get light. I would recommend this for anyone who has a dark room that would like some light as soon as they enter it.

No more broken lamp chains, forgetting to turn off the lights, in short -- extremely useful product! I had some of the same problems mentioned, the wife keep bugging me on why it only seemed to turn on when she was standing directly under it in the closet. Of course I didn't read the instructions, I just unboxed it and screwed it in.

I have 2 in my closets. I am thrilled to not have to go into a dark closet anymore, paw around blindly and climb up on boxes to reach the bulb pull, just to get a little light. I am very happy with my purchase of two already and would buy more if needed somewhere else in the house.

I like the fact that the sensor is very sensitive. I use it for our porch light so we don't have to get into the house without light. This is a great sensor and it doubles as a security light.

This is a nice easy to install product. I am not an electrician and if it is in an area where appearence is not vital (garages, closets, basements, attics, utility rooms, etc.) it is a very quick and easy way to add the convienience of motion sensor.

I bought this for a walk in closet that I have turned into my wife's craft Room. I really like the idea of a light that turns itself off because I can get distracted and walk off and leave the light on. because I have binders and books on a top shelf less that 2 feet from the light socket, I worry about a fire hazard if the light stays on and I accidently leave the house, so this was a great peace of mind saver for me.

Positives:

1. Turns itself on and off so it is great for closets and small spaces where you will have your hands full.

2. Saves electricity by turning itself off.

3. Great safety feature for the elderly and other limited mobility individuals. ( always lights up problem areas, doesn't leave light on)

4. Immediate turn on if the motion trigger is a door opening.

Negatives:

1. I noticed that if it goes off while I am in the room I have to stand up to turn it on. Usually I can just raise my arm and it will come back on.

2. This may also be a height issue, so if your child opens the door the light will go on, but if he has left the door open, it may be delayed or not work. When you install it, just make sure you put it at a height where everyone can get to it.

All in all, I LOVE these type products. I am ordering more for all of my other closets and one over my workbench in the garage.. It is amazing how much effort it takes turning on and off a light manually. I now know how great it is just to have it turn on and off by itself..it is the best kind of magic.

If you want to make your life a little more convenient, add a few motion sensor lights around your house.
