You will also have to pass a test to get your motorcycle license. Ask you local officials to see what you need to have to legally operate your motorcycle.

You don't have to be a mechanic to take care of the needs of your cycle if you just educate yourself on the maintenance. Things like checking to make sure that the battery cables are not fraying or wearing. Check for leakage on the battery so you know it will work. Engines need oil to lubricate them so check the oil and change it routinely. If you use your cycle on a daily basis the tires and wheels themselves can wear out easily so watch for signs of wear and tear.
