I am a big fan of Adam Sandler, both movies and music. Oh and lets not forget Saturday Night Live!

Anyway, I was cruising the web the other day looking for Adam Sandler content when I stumbled across an old movie review for one of Adam's films; The Waterboy, maybe. Anyway, the name of the movie doesn't really matter. In my opinion they are all funny.

So this critic is really hammering on the movie and Adam Sandler in particular, which really doesn't bother me at all. Everyone has their opinion and I can certainly respect that. I mean, Heck! My mom hates Adam's humor too. No... The thing that got me, is that after this guy was done shredding Sandler he started in on the theater audience watching the movie with him.

He described how stupid they all were to think that this movie was funny. Apparently everyone in the theater was laughing uproariously non-stop through most of the film while he just sat their quietly enduring this horrible movie. He couldn't believe how misguided and deluded the audience was to be gaining some measure of enjoyment from the cast's on-screen antics.

Now maybe I'm wrong, but if you are sitting in a room full of people laughing at a joke but you just don't get it; doesn't that make you the stupid one? C'Mon... let's face it. Adam Sandler is a multi-millionaire, and he didn't inherit that fortune. He earned it with his comedy which means that a great many people find some value in what he does. Sure, Adam's comedy is straight-forward slap you in the face stuff. There is nothing too cerebral about it, but I see nothing wrong with that.

Frankly, when I sit down to watch a comedy i just want to laugh and I certainly don't want to have to work all that hard to find the funny either.
