You're probably well familiar with the film The Secret. You may even think it was amazing. Incredible. Astounding. Personally, I think it was a marketing platform for millionaire motivational speakers, which also happened to toss in a few physicists to give it some credibility. This opinion aside, The Secret did touch on several topics of importance, even if the film presented them in a somewhat smarmy fashion. (And let's not even get into which presenters were found guilty of fraud in the days that followed...)

What matters, is that The Secret managed to inspire a large number of people. It helped loads of ordinary folk realize that extraordinary things are possible. And that really is something, regardless of how gimmicky it was. So. If you're someone who wants to believe in what you heard described by some of the presenters in The Secret -- but also someone who can spot a con from a mile away -- then you will enjoy these DVDs. Get them. Watch them. Watch them over and over again. Memorize them. They will change your life in ways The Secret could never do.

What the Bleep Do We Know!? What the Bleep Do We Know!?
Price: $8.00
List Price: $14.98

What the Bleep Do We Know?

What the Bleep Do We Know? is part documentary, part film. Marlee Matlin (y'all remember her, right?) stars as a woman who is living in her own reality -- and that reality sucks quite a bit. To her, at least. We follow her through her day to day routines and, as outsiders, can see how she is creating her own reality. Along the way, there are bits of docu with highly respected professors and scientists who will provide mind-blowing commentary for the average person. And you needn't understand physics to understand any of it.

Down The Rabbit Hole

What the Bleep Do We Know? Down the Rabbit Hole is the second installment of the previous DVD. You'll see a few scenes from the first film, but do not worry, you're not getting a re-packaged version here. This is definitely worth having, too. This film simply gets in all that stuff that was edited out for time, along with some extra stuff thrown in. It's great, get it.

Spirit Space; A Journey Into Your Consciousness Spirit Space; A Journey Into Your Consciousness
Price: $22.49
List Price: $24.95

Spirit Space

Spirit Space features my Fred Wolf, whom you will recognize from the Bleep movies, as well as The Secret. Not only is he brilliant, he's incredibly entertaining. This DVD discuses all things consciousness, including possibilities of what happens after death. If you liked the other DVDs, you will want this one as well.

You Can Heal Your Life

Louise Hay is pretty much the person who started the now-famous gurus on their way. Her work, books, gatherings, etc., have been ongoing for decades and she's quite versed in the ways of the universe. The film You Can Heal Your Life is similar to The Secret in presentation, but it's so much better in so many ways; most of which have to do with the pushy people not being in it. The situations the actress goes through, her thoughts, will seem all too familiar to many of you -- and their personal victories will inspire you. Highly recommended.

Water Crystals in Motion- Messages From Water Water Crystals in Motion- Messages From Water
Price: $18.99
List Price: $19.95

Messages From Water

Water Crystals in Motion: Messages from Water is absolutely amazing. A Japanese scientist performed a number of experiments with water and intention, and you will totally stunned by the results. You cannot watch this DVD and not have your perception of reality changed instantly. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

NOVA - Physics: The Elegant Universe and Beyond NOVA - Physics: The Elegant Universe and Beyond
Price: $21.82
List Price: $39.95

NOVA: The Elegant Universe and Beyond

NOVA: The Elegant Universe and Beyond has four DVDs and includes the previously released Elegant Universe version, along with two other programs. Best selling author (and Columbia professor) manages to explain everything in a way that laypersons can easily understand. String Theory, Parallel Universes? Piece of cake!

The Secret (Extended Edition) The Secret (Extended Edition)
Price: $6.99
List Price: $24.95

The Secret

I've included The Secret just in case you haven't already seen it. While I'm not a fan of it, it does serve a certain purpose. But I strongly recommend the other DVDs if you'd like to really understand where the idea for The Secret came from.

"The Secret" has been sitting underneath my coffee table, collecting dust, for 2 years I'd say. I was told it was great and received it as a gift and that I needed to "watch it immediately". I never did. I think, in honor of this hub, that I will watch it later tonight. Thanks for the heads up on the "gimmiky" feel of it. Hopefully I won't be disappointed then.
