Another blockbuster; another record broken. Grossing $60.6 million over a day and two nights, Transformers 2 knocked Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix off the throne. This is the sequel to the movie with the same name, Transformer. What I like about Transformer is the effects of the grapchics applied on the film... I mean they're as real as you can imagine them. While the plot is quite common, with the normal boy turned hero saving the planet and getting his dream girl... But the robots made it worth to watch... and I really like bumblebee with that kind of attitude... :) People don't like transformers 2 mostly because they don't appreciate CGI. They think just cuz it's CGI then it's easy and cheap to do.

OST: New Divide by Linkin Park

This is the official soundtrack of the movie Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen. This song is performed by Linkin Park and was arranged by Mike Shinoda. Here is the lyrics of the song:

I remembered black skies,
The lightning all around me
I remembered each flash
As time began to blur
Like a startling sign
That fate had finally found me
And your voice was all
I heard that I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong,
To wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross
The distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole,
Connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach
The truth that lies across this new divide

There was nothing in sight
But memories left abandoned
There was nowhere to hide,
The ashes fell like snow
And the ground caved in between
Where we were standing
And your voice was all
I heard that I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong,
To wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance
In your eyes across this new divide

In every loss, in every lie, in every truth that you'd deny
And each regret and each goodbye was a mistake too great to hide
And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong,
To wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross
The distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole,
Connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach

The truth that lies across this new divide
Across this new divide,
Across this new divide

PLOT:

Two years after the events of the first film, the Autobots and the American military have joined forces to form an organization named NEST to combat the Decepticons hiding out on Earth. Optimus Prime leads NEST into Shanghai, China, to eliminate several Decepticons. He is joined by newcomers including Arcee, Sideswipe, the Twins Skids and Mudflap, and Jolt. Optimus kills Demolishor but not before the Decepticon mentions that the Fallen will "rise again". American National Security Advisor Galloway berates the Autobots and NEST, suggesting that the Autobots leave. While Optimus does agree to this if the President of the United States of America commands this, he questions what will happen if the planet is left defenceless. Soundwave, a Decepticon intelligence officer, hacks into a satellite and discovers the location of Megatron's corpse and the location of a piece of the Allspark, the source of the Transformers' existence. Soundwave deploys his minion Ravage to retrieve the shard, which he succeeds in accomplishing. The Constructicons and a surgeon-robot named Scalpel revive Megatron. Megatron flies to a Decepticon spacecraft where he is reunited with air commander Starscream and the Fallen, Megatron's master. The Fallen intends to destroy the Sun and Earth in the process.

Sam Witwicky heads off to college in an attempt to live a normal life. Whilst packing, he finds another shard of the Allspark which fills his mind with ancient Cybertronian text. The Allspark fragment also brings kitchen equipment to life, although they are destroyed by Sam's guardian Bumblebee. Sam entrusts the shard to his girlfriend Mikaela, who hides it in her father's safe at a motorcycle garage. Decepticon Wheelie tries to steal it but he is captured by Mikaela. At college, Sam meets his roommate Leo Spitz who runs an alien conspiracy website, and a girl named Alice who makes disturbing advances on Sam. Sam begins to constantly see Cybertronian text, writing it on everything, and has a mental breakdown in his astronomy class. Mikaela comes to Sam's aide, just as he is nearly killed by Alice, revealed to be a Decepticon Pretender. She is killed by Mikaela, but Sam, Mikaela and Leo are confronted by Megatron, Starscream, Scalpel and Grindor. As Scalpel prepares to remove Sam's brain to get information on the location of a new Energon signal, Optimus and the other Autobots arrive. Optimus takes on all of the Decepticons but is ultimately killed by Megatron. The Decepticons invade the planet, the Fallen requesting that Sam be surrendered to save the planet. Galloway shuts down NEST.

Devestator is destroyed by a rail gun round fired from a nearby destroyer on Simmons orders. Bumblebee saves Sam's parents who were previously captured by Rampage, the latter being killed along with Ravage by Bumblebee. Aerial reinforcements are summoned, killing most of the Decepticons but Sam is caught in the attack and is severely injured, in his unconcious state, he has a dream in which the Primes explain it was always his destiny to revive Optimus, which after reawakaning and confessing his love for Mikaela, he does. Jetfire is mortally wounded by Scorponok (who in turn is killed by Jetfire) and he gives up his life to combine with Optimus, giving him the strength to destroy the Sun Harvester and kill the Fallen. Megatron and Starscream make a tactical retreat. Optimus ends the film by proclaiming that the Transformers and humans now share an untold history and will combine their differences.

Three GOOD reasons why you need to watch this movie:

  1. If it ain't broke; don't fix it: Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are back as director and producer, and stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and John Turturro also return.
  2. The sequel treats its audience to giant explosions in a number of new settings, including picturesque Egypt, and introduces some new and even bigger Transformers to the mix.
  3. Taking a cue from The Dark Knight, Bay shot three action scenes on IMAX cameras, so the image will fill the entire eight-story screen. So you'll see Optimus Prime at more that double the size he'd be in real life.

TRIVIA:
One of the new Autobots joining the team in this movie is Jolt, who transforms into the new Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid car. When the Volt's batteries are fully charged, it can go up to 40 miles without engaging its gasoline-powered engine. GM says that even if you don't plug it in to a standard wall socket at night, you could still drive up to 640 miles on a single tank of gas.

I actually prefer the first one more than this. Not that his isn't good, it's just that the first one is better.
