Dedication to Non-profits

Non-profit organizations took a serious donation hit due to the dismal economy the past year.  Anyone sponsoring a fundraiser will tell you they did not raise nearly enough for the future to support their children's organizations.  Based on lack of donations a lot of non-profits closed their doors this year.  Even with the new network online donations are not helping this difficult situation.

As the economy gets better philanthropy may loosen its packets, and contribute to the remaining or surviving non-profits after school programs in dangerous neighborhoods.

Our non-profit organization is dedicated to charity for less fortunate children. Many youth in our community have had their lives damaged by out of work parents, hunger, no school supplies, and a lack clothing. These children are at risk of dropping out of schools, joining gangs, or becoming involved with drugs. It is only through your charity will we be able to continue to provide for the children in our community

Start you own nonprofit to help children.

Are you a member of your community and realize there is a big need for children in the community to have an after school program? These programs are for children, who after school sit at home and watch TV or those who are high risk (bad neighborhoods, gangs, drugs etc).

Starting a program that continues after school that helps with homework, school projects, assist children who need it while home alone (latch key kids) will take several steps to make happen.

1. Start a petition in your neighborhood. Get the parents in the community to support you. Especially those parents who work late into the evening. Let the parents know specifically what you are trying to accomplish, and how you plan to do it. Without a clear plan you will get little support when talking about taking care of precious cargo as children.

2. In the beginning start out with a location, and board activities. You can do a survey and see what the community needs are for their children. You can skip that and specialize in a program like teaching children manners, and the proper way of doing or presenting while out with their parents. You can have a program that teaches respect for authority. These suggestions are pretty much for high risk neighborhoods.

3. Take your plan (plan should be written out) and execute it. For instance how many adults will you need for groups of children. Are the children very young, preteens or teenagers? Do you have any quiet areas in your location where students can study? Where tutors can prepare for students needs?

The above are the top three things when starting a after school program for children in your neighborhood. I will be back with other suggestions for after school programs and how to get started.b4e3s7f65v

The Children need your help!

We need help in our communities.

I would like to let everyone know that, I stopped by to the center and donated some supplies, and also donated snacks to 20 youths. These youths could really use everyones help. With the budget not being passed the youths are not going to have a safe place to stay after school and in the summer time.

Contributing to any after school program is worth its weight in gold! Parents get a sense of security knowing while they are working late someone is responsible for their children. Those responsible are making sure homework get done, creating activities for the children to challenge their minds. Anything to keep them very busy and project their energy to positive things. Thank you for your comment, and your contribution.

Great article Sista's express! One of the joys of being human is socialising-but being caught up in the nitty gritty of making ends meet in a bad economy we tend to focus on our own homes and own families rather than the concept of community living.Your sugestion is an excellent idea!If we cared more about the people in our communities then perhaps we we would have less crime. After all the more people are engaged in productive behaviour the less destructive they are.
