Like it or not, it has become reality. President Obama signed the trillion-dollar stimulus package. What now?

Will it improve my chances to get a home loan with zero down payment or will it prevent my neighbor to walk away from his property? Will the interest rate of my boyfriend’s credit card decrease until he finds a new job? Where is the light at the end of the tunnel and how does this end look anyway? Are we there? I doubt it and while the news anchor tells me that we haven’t seen the worst yet, the fear of what will happen to Average Joe tomorrow paralyzes America’s ability to deal with today.

Wake up folks! No matter how many Obama candles you light, the President can’t walk on water and neither will the government spending have a positive impact on you any time soon. Maybe in the future, maybe– better don’t count on it now. Instead try to pull yourself up on your bootstraps and trust in your abilities.

A few months ago I brainstormed what I could do to improve my living situation and noticed that simply by taking action, my spirit had lifted from negative deep down basement to well, not really sky high but let’s say fairly positive second floor.

I came up with a budget plan by adding up my current expenses and comparing them to the dough I have available to spend. Ultimately, I found out that I need to either cut my expenses or increase my income by 1/3 in order to achieve a healthy balanced budget. Duh!

Do the same, go ahead. Determine your financial status quo and develop your very own stimulus package instead of just letting the media shower you with their futuristic doom and gloom.

In every hub following this one I will describe one of the strategies I have developed for Ms. Munich’s very own stimulus package. My recommendation: Instead of wasting time and energy on finding a zillion theoretical reasons why my suggestions won’t work for you, try at least one out in practice and mold it until it fits your shoe. Then share your constructive feedback with me, maybe your idea is just what I need as well. Let’s all get creative and adventurous and catch some pioneer spirit. The possibilities are unlimited - this is still America.
