Mumbai Indians is one of the most illustrious IPL team atleast on paper. Boasting of one of the most explosive batting line up including Jayasurya and Sachin Tendulkar and the ever entertaining Harbhajan Singh.

The team is led by Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the Icon Player for the team. The team is coached by Lalchand Rajput, the former manager of the Indian Cricket Team and is owned by India’s biggest conglomerate, Reliance Industries. At an initial price of $111.9 million RIL had bought the most expensive IPL team during the auction on January 24, 2008.

However the team didnot prove itself in the tournament and just managed to score 5th position.
