Have you seen this Ad on TV? Two children ask their mother about what she is going to cook for them. Their father tells them roti and sabzi. On this, children express their disappointment and say, 'oh no'. In the next scene a bowl full of noodles is shown being served to them. Now what the noodle company is trying to communicate? I have two grand daughters and they do not want to eat roti and sabzi. Our doctor says that they should eat roti and sabzi for proper development. As oer the doctor, it is a negative ad and should not be permitted. I agree with him. What do you say friends?

Media, especially TV, is full of such negative ads. Children are attracted towards them and are misguided. It becomes very difficult for parents to properly guide their children with these ads being shown every few minutes on TV.

Ads by Big B about Chyavanprash are good ads - 'Zaroorat hai' or 'Bachcha banana bachcho ka khel nahin hai'. I also like Bournvita ad where Kabir and Ashraf feature - 'kya aapme Bournvita confidence hai'?

I think the noodle company should modify its ad by advising children to eat roti and sabzi with noodles as in-between snack. There is an Association of Ad agencies which has framed guidelines on ads. Product and service providers should advise their ad agencies to follow these guidelines.
