Muder, She Wrote A Palette For Murder by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain

Love the TV show? You'll love the books!

I have always been a big fan of the TV show and hope to get all of the seasons soon, so I thought to myself why not buy one of the books and read it, see if I like it.  So one day while I was at a book store, I found one that caught my eye and grabbed it up, bought it, and put it on my book shelf until I had finished one of my other books that I wanted to finish.  So once I had finished reading the other book, I quickly grabbed up the book, ‘Murder, She Wrote: A Palette For Murder’ and was ready to dive in.

Low and behold I finished the book in two days, something I haven’t done in a very long time, which means that the book was great!  Written well and descriptive, I can almost hear it being narrated by Jessica Fletcher or I should say as Angela Lansbury.  Angela Lansbury played Jessica Fletcher with such ease in the TV show that her ease and fun spirit definitely transferred to the book.

‘A Palette For Murder’ shows Jessica Fletcher trying to get away from writing after having finished yet another great mystery story and teaching a writing seminar at a college.  But as always murder seems to follow Jessica as well as the curiosity of solving the mystery takes her on an adventure she had not intended.  Wanting to try her hand at painting and sketching, her class ends with a death which brings Jessica into the middle of things.  A well-known author sketching nudes?  How sinfully delicious for reporters.  But when the numbers of dead bodies increase, including a reporter, times get desperate and it’s once again up to our mystery writer to help solve the case before she and others fall victim to a deadly art game.

A pleasurable mystery read for those mystery lovers out there and of course for Murder, She wrote fans everywhere.  I will definitely be adding more of these delightful books to my reading list.  The author behind these exciting books?  None other than Jessica Fletcher herself and Donald Bain.

Now on to another mystery book that I have picked up by a woman who writes along side of her cat.  Rita Mae Brown and her cat Sneaky Pie Brown’s book ‘Catch as Cat Can’, a mystery I can’t wait to dig my claws into and read.

Hope all of you mystery lovers decide to sink your imagination into these two books, and more by these authors.  Enjoy!
