My best friend is Ariel a Yellow lab who is very loveable. I adopted her from the humain society a couple of years ago on a very sad morning for me bacuse I just had to put my black lab mix down that day because she had gotten stomach cancer. By the end of that day I was all happy with a new pup named Ariel. Although Jasmine will never be replaced or forgotten I needed a new dog to fill that void in my life. I know that most of you readers might think that was way too soon to get a new dog into my life but, honestly I don't think I could have handled not having one around.

Anyways this is the beginning of my dog Ariels blog and surely hope that you will find many interesting posts on it.  On this blog I might post some things that Ariel might do on the weekends at her grandfather's house which he lives on a BEAUTIFUL Lake.  I might also post new pictures of what she did on her adventures. I may have tips and tricks for you as well. Oh and I can't forget her favorite toys that she has or may get throughout her life.  Plus I may write up a few suggestions as well for all you dog lovers.  So, I hope you find Ariels blog very interesting to read...

 Let me tell you a cute little story how Ariel and I met at the humaine society.  I think yoju may all shed a tear after you read this capsule.

When I walked in the humaine society on that sad sad day because I put my black lab mix named Jasmine down because she was very sick I saw only about labs in all there. Two were Yellow labs, two were black labs, and one that was a chocolate lab.

But, one of those 5 dogs really got my heart to flutter and that dog I found out later was named Ariel.  While the other dogs were either taking a nap on their little blue cots or playing with their toys Ariel, came up to the long tiny glass window while I was walking by and she gave that glass a kiss. That kiss was meant for me I said so, without any doubts at all I said to myself I found my new freind. That evening I got to take her home after they did a background check on me.  So, folks, if your looking for a new friend to take home why don't you go to your local humain society and see if you can find your BEST Friend like I did. 

 One of Ariels fun things to do is while her owner takes a bath during the evening hours she puts her snout in the tub water then blows out bubbles with her nose then takes her snout out again and looks for the remaining bubbles for about 10- 15 minutes.  She is such a funny dog isn't she?

 When Ariel and I go back up north for a weekend to visit her grandfather and my dad. (Yes I consider my dog my little duaghter)  I will be taking pictures of her while she uses the wave runner and when she is swimming in the lake. She really loves swimming and fetching her toys that float.

We will be sharing those pictures with you on this blog as soon as we get up there again for a weekend to take those pictures.  I think you will find Ariel adorbale riding the wave runner like I do...

She really loves to hang out by the water up at the lake with her family.

We were up by my dad's just last weekend and we played catch with a cloth baseball which Ariel and I had a BLAST while the rest of the family was putting in the dock.

It was a bit chilly yet to use the wave runner that weekend so, we just played catch with the cloth baseball and we also played a bit of basketball as well. She loves to get involved with the family while we all played basketball. She was a RIOT... We all laughed and played and had fun last weekend together. Stay tuned tomorrow for another capsule to read now... Who knows what types of stories I will tell that Ariel will do on her next adventure day.

 My mom took me to the dog park today. I had a BLAST with all the other dogs that were there. We sniffed each other, chased eachother and I gave a few dogs that I especially liked a kiss in the mouth.  I even retrieved other dogs tennis balls that I have found across the park grounds. "Thank you mommy for taking me to the dog park today."

Ariel got some new toys when I went shopping at the grocery store. She got 2 Orange and blue rubber water balls for the lake up north and two doggie tennis balls so, we can play fetch at the dog park. She really loves to play fetch and she will have a great time with these new toys that I just got for her. I also bought her a bone today and she really loves that bone as well. I just put a little bit of peanut butter at the very end of the bone and she is licking the peaning butter off like CRAZY like she never seen or tasted Peanut mutter before... She is QUITE the dog.

 Ariel's latest trick which I never taught her to do at all is tucking me into bed at night. while I am laying on my bed with my covers just covering my feet Ariel hops up on my bed and puts my covers in her mouth and walks backwards towards me then when the covers drop over my body she hops out of the covers and hops off my bed and sleeps on the floor beside my bed. Isn't she adorable?

When we go out walking or we go to my dad's for the weekend Ariel loves to wear her bandanas. She has an assortment of colors to choose from but, she really likes to wear the red bandana the most. I will make sure I post some pictures up of Ariel when she is wearing her bandanas. Stay tuned for those cute pictures...

 On the weekend I usually cook a little something for Ariel and myself. We have a little eggs and toast in the morning and she really loves that when I cook a little something for her. During the weeks when I am a bit more busy I just give her a scoop of her Iams dog food and mix it with her cottage cheeze.  She really loves cottage cheeze.   For those of you who are planning to adopt a dog soon the two types of dog foods that are best for any type of dog are Iams dog food or Science Diet dog food and make sure you have plenty of chewy toys and raw hides on hand when you have your new arrivle come home with you...

 Hi folks, I just want to share something with all of you readers why I think my dog Ariel was so funny this morning,.. First of all I didn't hear my alarm clock this morning so, my dog came up to me and licked me in the face until I woke up then after I had my shower this morning I usuallly watch a bit of tv in my bed room while I am getting myself dressed. Ariel didn't even let me watch my 8 minutes of tv she was yelling at me with her bark and she wouldn't stop barking until I turned of that television. Once I turned off the tv she was quiet but, then she tugged at my pants to try to get me to get out of my room and feed her. She is quite the character isn't she? I am so glad I adopted her from the humane society. For all those who are looking into adopting a pet check your local humane society lacations because you maybe able to find a Great pet there that you will fall in love with... Rmember they all need homes as well...  After you read my blog here and I at all incouraged  you to adopt an animal from the humane society Ariel and I would love to hear that.  Attention All You Animal Owners I need to really send this message out to you... Please make sure you update all your shots with your animals by personally brining them to their vet. This is a very imporatnt matter to bring up because you want to make sure that your pet is healthy for one thing but, you also want to make sure that if there is any type of animal fights between other animals and your pet that you are not the one who didn't get your Best Friend vaccinated... Please make sure that you call your local vets to set up an appointment.

 Ariel will have a busy day today. Her and I and my brother are taking a 2 hour trip up to see some relatives today and going over to my grandmothers old nursing home since she is no longer with us becasue she passed away in January but it doesn't mean we can't still walk in the doors and visit other residents there. Those residents certainly can use some pet therapy today so, we all can feel a little bit better Today.  Most of those residents really like it when Ariel and I come up and visit there. When my grandmother was there she had company every single day so, she always had someone that she looked forward to seeing come through her door but, I know that some of those residents didn't have anyone of their family members who ever stopped by and that is a real shame but, we always took the time to walk over to their rooms to see them after we  had visited our grandmother.   For all those who have dogs Ariel and I would like to CHALLENGE You Today and that is take a little road trip with your dog to your local rehab center or nursing home and spend an hour or two with the residents there so, they can enjoy the company and also enjoy petting your dog. 

 Ariel really likes to make sure that her mommy is tucked into her bed every night so, she jumps onto my bed and puts my bed covers into her mouth and begins to walk backwards onto my bed until she covers me with the covers then she hops out of the way gives me a little kiss an goes back on the floor to sleep. Isn't she so SWEET?

Like every human being we all brush our teeth at night before bed make sure you brush your dogs teeth also all you dog owners... They need to keep their perly whits nice and clean as well.

 Just a reminder folks to make sure your pet has a coolar on before you have them go outside. So, if they become little escape artists you have your name and phone number listed on their collar just in case they ever get lost.
