My Brain : What's up with that?
57
Went to the neurologist today....
So, let me paint you a little picture here. Rewind to five years ago.....I'm doing yard work, go inside to take a shower, undress...and low and behold a big brown mole - or what looked like a mole on my shoulder. I knew I didn't have a mole there. It was a tick. My husband tries to get it out but the tick burrows his head into my flesh. Try as he might, my hubby can't get it out. So I went to a doc-in-the-box to get it cut out. He put me on 21 days antibiotics. I get the rash. (Bulls-eye rash associated with Lymes Disease). I develop nerve pain, loss of concentration, loss of balance. So on and off for five years I never, never got tested but I'm thinking, I got Lyme Disease. Well, after start to get blurry vision my doctor did bloodwork and ruled out Lyme Disease, Arthritis, and diabetes. I was convinced that I had it all along. I don't.
Doc sends me to a neurologist. I had my appointment today. I walked the line, had the needle pricks, touched my nose with my eyes closed, (left side did fine, right side, I MISSED my nose). So he orders an EEG, which I also took today. He also ordered a brain MRI and the dreaded EMG which I guess I'll have to take now. So the next two and hopefully last test I will take next month. My husband thinks I have a brain tumor. I told him I don't have a brain tumor because the nerve pain started five years ago. I would be dead by now. I think it's from an old neck injury and my nerves are messed up or something else.
There's no point in worrying, which I'm not. I'm actually in a good mood. What? A good mood? Yes, because I was wrong about the Lyme Disease but I may not be crazy...and the neurologist took me seriously. So that makes me happy.

I don't know; but I would start a high dosage of fish oil and some lecithin... the lecithin rebuilds nerve cells. go here http://level1diet.com and look up lecithin -- I'm serious.
I hope all works out for you...keep us advised. k? Marisue =))
I also love butterlies...take a look here if you want http://butterflyattracting.com
I am hoping you are on the road to good health -- they've ruled out many things; that's a good sign....right?
