Unfinished Business: James Van Praagh
A Suspicious Man
As I was heading back in the building the manager lady whom was friend's with Roy heard what happened. She was very upset, and expressed her feelings to me. She had her suspicions that Roy's friend had killed him. She asked me if I got Roy's wallet and I said, “No.” She then asked me if Roy was wearing his rings. He wasn't I told her, and they weren't at home either; but I knew those rings were fake. She didn't know that.
She thought that Roy was drugged and robbed by the drug addict on the first floor. I was somewhat suspicious myself of the whole deal surrounding Roy's death. Like where did he go to get high. How did he get the money to get high. Did the guy downstairs shoot up with him again and is that why it took him so many hours before he came upstairs to get me. Even more, why did he pretend that he didn't know what was wrong with Roy -- by acting ignorant about the whole thing.
Roy's Aunt would later say that Roy didn't have anything in his possession. No wallet, no nothing. I don't know if that was true or not but there was the possibility that the guy took Roy's wallet, and anything else Roy had in his pockets. Since he claimed he was experienced handling the deceased.

A Criminal
Roy often sold fake jewelery and drugs on the street any time he wanted extra money. He was out of control and was a drug addict, they do desperate things; so anything is possible when it comes right down to his death.
Roy had a way with people and even charmed the manager there at the apartment building. She gave him all her jewelery one day so he could take it to get it cleaned where he worked. The thing was that he didn't work at a jewelry store. Yet he told me the guy he knew that owned the jewelry shop was his Uncle. I have my doubts about that story now.
One day Roy told me that his Uncle was taking real diamonds out of peoples' jewelry and replacing them with fake diamonds. I met the guy once and Roy told me that he was a heroin addict. When Roy had a handful of the managers diamond rings I suspected he was going to replace them with fake diamonds; when he would hand them back to her. As a good service by giving her back her jewerly all buffed up.
At the time I saw him with her jewelery I was shocked that he had them. He was as happy as could be. He told me he was going to have them cleaned and I urged him to please return them to her and not to do anything, but he paid no mind to my fears.
There wasn't to much that Roy wouldn't do. He was even known for cheating people at cards on the street too. So I didn't know if someone deliberately killed him or gave him to much dope or what in the world actually happened for sure.

Corrcupation
I was crushed by not having him anymore even though he was one of the worst people I could ever get mixed up with. He was a low down scoundrel that prayed on the weak and young. And everyone else for that matter.
I was suspicious of Roy's creepy friend once he said that he worked at a morgue before; but pretended that he didn't know what was wrong with Roy, or what to do. He told me that in the middle of the night Roy made a gurgling sound and he thought that he was just clearing his throat.
It was about three o'clock when that guy came up and got me. While pretending that he didn't know what was wrong with Roy. He was in there with the body all morning but claimed to just wake up. I had my doubts about that one. He told the paramedics that he had handled dead bodies before. There is a good possibility that he went through Roy's pockets for money and probably even took the fake rings that were stamped as real.
Roy's Uncle / friend would even stamp fake jewelry as real jewelry by adding the fourteen caret gold stamp or what it needed to pass by unexperienced eyes'. The jewelry shop owner was a drug addict too. He shot dope and turned out to be a ticket for Roy by being an access to a system for cheating people, to help supply their drug habit.
