Facebook is definitely a leader in the social networking scene. When I signed up for facebook, I was amazed to find out how many of my old friends and family members were online.

When you login you can find your former high school or college classmates. Some people have found their cousins, aunts, uncles or other family members.

Some people become personal friends with co-workers through facebook. And I guess the best part about this is, all of it is done from the convenience of your own home.

But once you've signed up for facebook and after the initial "wave of introduction" has passed, there are other things you will find yourself doing other than just adding new people to your "friends list."  Personally I have explored a few of the applications that are available.

I have taken a few of the quizzes, I have had the pleasure of being in a virtual food fight, I have had friends send me drinks that I can simulate drinking, and the other day, I was actually shot with a pirate gun filled with vomit! The imaginations of some of the people that create and use these applications are intriguing!

For the sake of laughter, I am going to point out a few of my favorite quizzes and applications that are on MY personal profile on facebook. For those of you who do not understand what I'm talking about here, keep reading anyway...you'll get the point.

One of my favorite applications that I'm using on facebook lately is the NAME GENERATOR. This application puts your first and last name in a separate box, then you select a "submit" button, and the application outputs another name based on what category you chose.

Here's an example--->

"BOTOX O'GRADY??" That's my Leprechaun Name? HA!! This sounds more like a tool that a plastic surgeon might use...what do you think?

Ok, here's another one from the NAME GENERATOR application that I had to laugh at:

"BANK ROLL" Roberts?? LOL...HOW DID THEY KNOW? That's freakin' amazing.... : )

Ok, how about this one--->

"DUKE BEAVER??" Lol!!  Duke?  As in Duke Luke from the Dukes of Hazzard?  Or as in the Duke of Wayland?  Wow!  And what about that last name Beaver?  You have to be laughing at this one!  One friend of mine on facebook asked me if this meant that I was the Duke of Beaver? THAT ONE didn't even warrant a response, but I did laugh for a split second.

And what about this final one from the NAME GENERATOR app? --->

"Cinnamon GlitzSunny" Uhh...ok? I better keep this one kinda close, because if this economy keeps going like it is now, I might just have to use this one...hmm??

The NAME GENERATOR application kinda makes me laugh, and some of the quizzes that are available are worth a laugh too. I especially liked the seven question quiz titled, "How Ganster Are You?"

Well, that's it for this hub. I guess you can see with facebook you can find your family and friends, you can buddy up with a co-worker, you can find out your leprechaun name and you can even find out if you're a redneck!! Just remember we found out that I WASN'T!
