My Heart Goes Out To Ft. Hood, Texas!

Ft. Hood, Texas: Saying Good bye
It’s never easy saying good bye to a loved one on their death bed whether it is old age or an accident that takes their life away from you. But it is even harder to say good bye when your loved one is taken because of someone else’s selfish stupidity! My heart aches for those who lost their loved ones before their time in Ft. Hood, Texas when a crazed man picked up a gun and thought that this would be an okay thing to do. He was to be deployed but because of the stories he had heard as a psychiatrist he didn’t want to go so instead of leaving everyone else out of it, he went to where the soldiers were waiting to be deployed and did something so selfish it could make an angel cry.
And it did just that! I know that angles were crying hard when this man, this monster took out two hand guns and began shooting anyone in front of him, wounding 29 people and killing 13; taking their lives WAY to early. I do think of him as a selfish uncaring monster because of his actions, having killed and wounded many people just because HE didn’t want to get deployed and serve his country. If that was the case then why join any branch of the military? Did he think that it would be an easy ride or something? And to think that he had help in this horrific scheme makes my blood run cold with despair.
How can any human being find just reason to shoot and wound/kill another human being? Do they not see the wrong in what they are doing or are they blinded by their own thoughts and emotions to care about anyone but themselves?
Support and Love
My heart breaks when I hear horrible news such as what had happened at Ft. Hood, Texas. My prayers and my thoughts go out to those victims. I pray that those who had been wounded heal quickly and I hope that those who lose someone will take comfort in knowing that there are people out there who care and who are thinking fondly about them. May their loved ones rest in peace and may those who had lost someone find peace in knowing that their loved ones are now in Heaven with God.
Rest In Peace to those 13 who have died! Love and support to their families and friends! Speedy recovery to those who had been wounded! God bless all of them!!!!
We Will Miss Those Taken From Us Too Soon!

God Bless them all and you, Thanks from an Old Soldier with a broken heart...
It is very sad. I don't know if he was a monster but rather brainwashed by his culture and that is as scary as being a monster; when a person can turn off their human reasoning and set out to take lives in the name of religion it is indeed something few of us will ever be able to understand. I read a study when serial killers were studyied and they found the part of the brain that tells us right from wrong is not developed as in a normal person. They know right from wrong but have no emotion or empathy. Killing in the name of religion to me has this undertone. They seem to be so conditioned that they turn off their emotions and what we feel is wrong and think they are doing this in the name of Allah thus paving their way to heaven. This is indeed a hard beast to fight. I also wrote a hub regarding Killeen. I don't think in this country we will ever understand a religion that hates all others and sets out to destroy innocent people that don't believe as they do. To me it is a barbaric ancient culture and it is scary that it has not evolved to set out the things that we as human beings see as wrong. Georgiakevin said it best "What a sad world we live in" and Hmrjmr1 that his heart was broken. All our hearts are broken and yet as people of the Christian faith we pray for all because we believe God has a plan, although it is to complex for us to understand as the things unfold around us. Our soldiers protect our right to have freedom of choice including religion, they are more peace keepers in the world than anything else in this age. We pray for all the families and for all who serve this great country. Perhaps this is a wake up call for America as a whole; don't take God out of our country, we can't do it without him. God Bless.
