20.  The Color Purple....The Ultimate against all odds story, with Whoopie Goldburgh as Celie, an abused wife.  She should have been the first African American woman to win an Oscar for best actress.

19.  Moon Over Paradoor...Richard Dryfus as an actor hired by Raul Julia to take the place of the deceased dictator in a small South American country.  Believe me, it's funny!!!

18.  Gone with the Wind....Clark Gable......That's all I have to say

17.  Missing....A sad, sad, sad story with the great Jack Lemmon playing a desperate father searching for his writer son in South America.  Sissy Spacack is great as the daughter in law.

16.  E. T.....Credit the genious of Steven Speilburgh to make this work!!! A great, original and feel good movie!!!

15.  Maltese Falcon....Humphry Bogart led a stellar cast playing detective Sam Spade, who manages to stay one step ahead of thieves while searching for a priceless  statue.

14...Giant....James Dean upstaged everyone in this movie, including Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor.  His performance was the last of his great career.

13.  The Last King Of Scotland....Forest Whitaker as the brutal dictator Idi Amin.  It showed Amin as a ruthless ruler who killed thousands of his own people, as well as the charming man who was able to fool everyone.

12... Jaws....Another master piece from the man named Speilburgh.  It was a looong while before I got back in the water.

11.  To Kill a Mockingbird....The first book I spent my allowance on.  This stunning story about racial issues and the justice system with Gregory Peck defending a black man accused of raping a white woman.

10.  Don Juan DeMarco....Johnny Depp as a man who considers himself the world's greatest lover.  It's one of his best (and underrated performances).

9.  Silence of the Lambs....Anthony Hopkins in the role that defined deranged killer.  Jodi Foster and Scott Glenn are equally impressive

8....I'm Going to Get You Sucka...Keenan Ivory Wayans parody of every stereotype in movies that was so wrong, but so right!!!

7....Pulp Fiction... Quenten Tarantino's extremely voilent, bloody, and profane masterpiece telling a story of happenings in L.A., and how their lives all intertwine.

6.  Traffic....Steven Soderburgh's take on American's war on drugs told from two different views...Benico Del Torrio as a policeman on the front line, and Michael Douglas, as the new drug czar with a drug addicted daughter.

5...Raging Bull....Robert DeNiro was Jake LaMotta.  Enough said.

4.  Psycho.....Although toned down a lot for the screen, this story of a man driven to the point of madness due to loneliness and isolation solidified Alfred Hitchcock's place as one of the greatest directors of all time.

3.  Rebel Without a Cause....James Dean again playing the bad boy we rooted for!!!

2.  A Christmas Story....Although known for his raunchy Porky flicks, Bob Clark also directed this sweet, touch your heart, and make you smile Christmas tale.  Ralphie wants a BB gun for Christmas, and he's even ready to pull out all of the  stops to get one.  (Even ask Santa)

1.  A Street Car Named Desire....The ultimate and original dysfunctional family.  Marlon Brando as Stanley, a brute with no good side to him.  Vivian Leigh as Blanche  a wilting southern bell who comes to visit Stella (Kim Hunter) and slowly looses touch with reality.  Deeply disturbing, but excellently acted.
