Honey help my monitor is upside down. All my computer windows are upside down.

This has happened to me and I have rescued my friends with the situation of upside down screen or sideways screen.

This happens accidently when you are in the middle of something and you do not know what you pressed on keyboard. Sometimes it happens to your dear ones and they do not have any clue. Has it happened to you? If not, there is very good chance that you will hear this soon or you will definitely experience this sooner or later. Again this happens when the graphic properties of your monitor are changed with the combination of keys. This is not a virus. So do not worry.

Computer restart does not solve this issue. Here is how to restore the monitor display. You can try any of the three options below.

OPTION 1

The Ctrl-Alt-Direction key can change the direction of display.

Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow Key - right side up
Ctrl-Alt-Right Arrow Key - 90 degrees
Ctrl-Alt-Down Arrow Key - 180 degrees (upside down)
Ctrl-Alt-Left Arrow Key - 270 degrees

OPTION 2 (Take help of screen shots for Options 2 and 3. )

When the settings on the card has changed. This setting is specific to your video card manufacturer. Here are some other ways to reach the setting if the shortcuts do not work. Short cuts do not work if they are not enabled.

Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Display icon >> Settings tab >> Advanced button>> Intel(R) Extreme Graphics tab (or whatever your video card is) >> Graphics Properties button>> Rotation tab.

OPTION 3

Alternatively you can possibly do this quicker from your desktop:

1. Right click a blank area of your Desktop
2. Select Graphics Options
3. Choose Graphics properties
4. Select the Rotation tab
