What I Use, & What I Dont Use
In all the photos except one, I used no beeswax, hairspray, gel, or other over the counter products. I also used no rubber bands, no brushes, and no bobby pins without the rubber tips on them.

Thank you! I do my own hair, and I have been natural for a year. What you see is a years worth of hair. Before that I was natural for 12 years and decided to try a perm. I got my hair cut (shaved in the back) and about an inch long on the top. I was not used to it being so straight, and it was not as versatile, When new growth would come in, I just wasn't happy with the look. Then it fell out because my hair is extremely sensitive to perms, and I knew that because that was why I went natural the first time(14 years ago)! Who knows what I was thinking - I call it a "young life crisis," but whatever it was, I sure learned my lesson!
