My Rant on Mothers and Sexy Costumes
61Most people know that Halloween is the time of year when classy women can let their hair down and dress unusually sexy with little judgment. It’s actually a difficult task nowadays for a woman to find a Halloween Costume that is appropriate for taking her child trick or treating or visiting her child’s classroom. Some might argue that a mother should set an example for her children and refrain from buying the extremely sexy costumes and to be blunt act their age.
Fortunately, I completely disagree with those prudes. I think hot mama’s should be proud to strut their stuff, especially for one night out of the year. Good mothers deserve a break and it’s great to feel sexy again. So put on those fishnets and knee high leather boots, and have your night of fun. I do want to point out that a night of fun should include adult parties and bars not trick or treating with your kids.
Let’s be clear, I’m all for mothers who let their hair down on Halloween; however, there are still trailer trash out there who insist on wearing their sexy costumes that let it all hang out to prance up and down the streets trick or treating with their children. Really ladies, there is a time and a place. In my opinion Mommy’s should have at least two wardrobes and an optional three different wardrobes for their different roles. Mothers should have one wardrobe for going out with the kids, another wardrobe for going out with the girls, and an optional bedroom wardrobe with lingerie.
Speaking of sexy costumes what about 7-10 year old girls dressing up as street walkers for trick or treating? Now we all know that sex sells; however, it’s frightening to think that today industries are using sex appeal to sell children’s costumes. Since supply and demand govern the business world it’s obvious that the parents and not the industry are to blame. I assume in many cases these 9 year old girls want to wear miniskirts and midriff tops to be like their mommy, but what in the world would possess a mother to dress her little girl in such a costume. Seriously ladies, no matter how “cute” you think your daughter looks in risqué clothing please refrain from parading them in public until at least age 16. Let’s try to keep our children innocent for as long as possible by dressing them in angel or animal costumes.
