I wear comfortable clothes. I like wearing comfortable clothes. I do not like to dress up, I do not like to wear a dress and hose and all that stuff. I like my jeans, tee shirts and my soft cotton shirts. I am comfortable but I am neat, clean, orderly, and non-offensive in my style of fashion.

In one week my Honey, Baby Girl, Dog (the cat) and I are moving back to our heart home. It is a bit of a drive and I no longer can say "Honey, the kids are getting cranky can we stop n walk around a bit?" every hour or so. Yes, I am one of those travelers one wishes one never has to be trapped in a vehicle longer than half an hour or so. I also get carsick if I sit in the back. TMI? Sorry.

So I am getting my one week or so worth of clothes together (everything else will be in the moving van thank the stars) and I realize that not only do I only have one pair of jeans and two shirts that I can wear for ten hours at a stretch but that sometime in the last month that leprechaun in the wall of the fireplace gave me at LEAST ten pounds of fake fey dust!

He thought he could fool me? He thought if he got me to carry that extra weight, he could hitch his way back home too didn’t he. Well forget that! I knew better than to let him tag along in the first place! That last stunt he pulled with the creaking fireplace grate and the crumbling of the fireplace bricks while the Sunday School Class was here was the last BENT straw!! He is soooo staying here!!

I beg your pardon? Fashion? Wal-Mart? Oh, yes, so anyway I weigh more than I did a month ago, what else is new right? I know immediately what I need and it's right there at the W store, where else? Off I go to the clothing section, they are right there, 34/30 Liberty overalls, fit just fine 'cept I have to run the straps all the way to the back but I’ve had to do that all my life, who cares? And I got them for $11.00 because the lady at the fitting room checked the price code incorrectly. When it came up nearly $28.00 I protested and my goodness, they made good on it! Thank you little fitting room lady! So then I had enough left over to buy the sequel to The Hunger Games” Man I have so been waiting on this book, “Catching Fire”!

Well, everybody knows what happens next. Throw them in the washer on cold about four times with lots of bleach and voila soft, comfortable, overalls just waiting to be worn out!

Today I had to go to the W store. I would like to go through one day without having to go in that place for something!

I am not courageous, I can usually blend into the shadows and not be noticed but my aim must have been off or something this afternoon because not only was I noticed but I was frowned, sneered and snickered at because of my overalls! This is just too much I thought to myself. Look around you people! You are not exactly the height of fashion you know!

 People come in that store with fuzzy bedroom slippers, pajamas without underwear, and the bottom of their pj pants caked with filth to mid calf and I am made pariah for a tee shirt and overalls?

However, this is a small town and I guess I was not supposed to dress differently than I ever have. I admit, I had not worn a pair of overalls since we were living in Montana in the ‘90’s. However, I intend to keep on wearing them now, they are very comfortable!
