Do you remember back to the time when the internet didn't exist? Well, you must be old then... nah, I'm just kidding, but seriously, when the internet emerged a whole new world - a cyber world - was created! But, I'm not here to talk about when it all began... I'm here to talk about all those networking sites we hear of almost everyday of our lives. I have picked out my top 5 favourites and I will reveal them and many more to you.

And coming in at number 5 is...

Tagged! Yep, it's a pretty basic site. Confusing at times, but nevertheless basic. I must admit though, I do get a little annoyed with the amount of spammers and con jobs present on that site. Creeps me out.

Now, what before 5... Hmmm... 4...

Bebo! Yes, we've all heard of it! I believe that this site is fantastic in the way it has been set out. The layout is simple and functional yet it has a lot of individuality about it. I've found there isn't many spammers on Bebo which is definitely a plus!

Number 3 would have to be...

Netlog! Now, you may know Netlog as BingBox or FaceBox depending on how long it has been since you have visited the site. Yes, Netlog was FaceBox and also owned BingBox as a back up which was actually identical to FaceBox and if you signed up to one site you were a member of the other as well. Strange... but anyway, about a year or so ago they changed their name to Netlog! As time has passed, I have found that Netlog have begun to make things a little more complicated but that being said, once you use their application for a while, you get use to where everything is. Netlog is fun and original!

I reckon Number 2 is...

Facebook! Ahh Facebook. We see it on the news all the time, mainly getting in trouble. I only joined up with this site this year. Back when I tried to join the first time, you had to be a minimum age of 18. They've changed it so that you can join regardless of your age. Smart move? I don't know about that. I would have liked to at least seen a minimum age of 15 or something. But anyway, Facebook is HUGE! It is jam-packed full of applications and friendly activities I was absolutely gob-smacked when I signed in. Fun and games hit me left right and centre! I still have over 60 requests of some form or another. Embarrassing...

And the winner is... *drum roll*...

MySpace! Well of course, we all saw THAT one coming, didn't we? Let's face it, MySpace is a cyber phenomenon! It is absolutely famous world-wide! There isn't one person on this planet that hasn't heard of MySpace! It's growing more and more each day and to be honest with you, I don't think it'll ever stop! I got one word for you when describing MySpace - Genius! It's functional, organised, fun, bright, colourful, friendly and it's got absolutely everything your heart could desire! It's worth joining!

Ta da! My top 5 favourite friend networking sites! In the reality of the cyber world, we have more network sites (such as MySpace) than we can poke a stick at! They're everywhere! New ones are added everyday and grow like crazy! I would say that they are the latest online craze and may remain that way forever.

There are other networking sites that didn't make it onto my top 5 list such as; Wink, Perfspot, Friendster, Hi5 and so many more! There is even a photographer networking site which I am a member of called 'MyShutterSpace'. It is also a brilliant bit of work!

So be free my network crazed friends, be free! But don't spend all day on the computer or you'll go cyber insane! I'm sure I'll see you around... after all, I am pretty much a member of every networking site out there... I just lose track from time to time!
