My World with no Flowers!?
60My life without flowers would be:
As a child, flowers were a big part of my life. My grandparents and mother were infactuated by them and had what seems like millions for me to weed, dead head, water and fertilize. As a child you really don't appreciate the hard work that goes into making your flowers as beautiful as they can be. As an adult, you remember what you were taught and the passion grows with you. I couldn't even fathom the thought of not having them in my yard! I guess we sometimes take advantage of Mother Nature and it's beauty. The thrill of planting a small seed and nurturing it into a beautiful flower still amazes me. I grow all of my flowers from seed or bulbs. Getting a flower and just replanting in my yard was considered cheating by my grandfather. He use to say, "how are you going to me a mother someday if you can't get a seed to grow?" It didn't make much sense to me then but now I can see his point. It takes time, know how and a definite passion to grow your flowers from seed. I do occasionally cheat and buy flowers already grown such as the wave petunia, poppies, and pansies. I have never had luck growing those from seed and I am not a perfect mother so I guess that's my demise.
My life with no flowers would be like:
A Dog without a bone..........
Kid Rock with no drugs.......
Turkey without Dressing.........
Cole Haan with no shoes......
Cable TV without Oprah........
A Computer without high speed internet....
Hub Pages with no fans........
I could go on forever.........
Flowers in my yard, now you know I can't live without them
