'My Zoo' is a new application on FaceBook which is highly addictive!  Search under 'applications' and you will find it, merely add it in and you are free to start.

It is a game where you have to earn money at your zoo, then use this money to buy animals, staff, entertainment, food avenues and then expert services like animal hospitals, breeding facilities, animal rescue centers.

You are guided through the steps you need to complete and you are given challenges to meet which keeps you competing with your friends or even total strangers!  You have to increase your zoo acclaims, which happens naturally once you start buying animals and your zoo gets bigger and bigger.

Some of the animals you can 'buy' start from petting zoo animals like Goats and Sheep and go all the way up to the Panda, through Grizzly Bears, Giraffes, Komodo Dragons and such like.

It is a fasinating game, still in the beta issue however there is a discussion board where you can speak to the developer about things you'd like improved, included or ammended.  It is a good educational resource too as it teaches you and your children which animals are currently Endangered, what their breeding stats are and lots of facts about the species.

I would recommend this game to anyone interested at all in animals, but I think anyone with a competitive streak would love this game.  Be warned though, you will find yourself logging in twice a day to check the progress of your breeding animals!
