My answer to: How do you define success, and how do you achieve it?
46It isn't always money...
Far too many folks out there are strapped down and chained to the wall by the erroneous idea that success is directly related to money. There is a lack of imagination in the population that is astounding ! Talented people are leading the lives of "quiet desperation" so feared and rejected by H. D. Thoreau. He would have everything be simple, but life in the twenty-first century is everything but that, with all the distractions. Take a step back from the complications as far as you may, and look around at what is important. For me, it is my personal faith that allows for the "you-can't-take-it-with-you" clause to come into play, taking money away from being my main objective. Experiencing the simple joys of creative expression makes me feel as if I have all the success in the world. And confidence in this area allows for money to be made from it, adding to the fun! The friends you have add to success, for after all, what an excellent business referral network they make since they trust in you and you in them. Additionally, if you work an "everyday job" like I currently do, make sure to do yourself the favor of liking the people you work with and turn those into friends.

Thanks for answering my request. You're right about the work-friend balance in life

Very true on that. Money comes and goes just like that. Interesting point on that. I do believe that as well. Well done. :)
