My Experience With AT&T
70In today's highly competitive and technological world, it's often hard to keep up with all of the options. This can be especially true when trying to decide how to manage your Internet, mobile phone and landline services. It can be overwhelming, but sometimes simple is best. I have been a customer of AT&T for a number of years and have had a positive experience. Here are some things I have learned through the years about this relationship and why I continue to use AT&T.
First, my services with AT&T are not the simplest, yet they are not the most complex either. I currently have an AT&T wireless modem, which actually is a two-wire and also provides DSL service for my older desktop. I also have a landline with AT&T as well as my mobile service.
Benefits of choosing AT&T as my wireless and landline provider First of all, AT&T has always been a convenient choice for me. I enjoy the option to have combined billing and receive all of my costs and services on one bill. This bill is easily available online as well. By using one provider for multiple services, then I feel more organized and can also always start with one call to customer service if I have questions on any part of my service. That way, if I do not know who to contact, the customer service representative that I do reach will gladly transfer me to another location. This again just keeps things simple and effective. Also, I periodically phone just to make sure I am using all the features and services I am paying for, and with one service, the customer service specalist can more easily audit the current services that I have and make recommendations as to how I can cut costs or what new features I may benefit from based on past usage.
Other things I like about AT&T One feature I have always really liked about my AT&T wireless phone package is that it features rollover minutes. I talk -- a lot. And, so this feature has often saved me from huge phone bills on particularly talk heavy months (e..g, when broken hearted over a failed relationship, when helping a friend get through a failed relationship, when there is big news to share such as a new job or pending move, etc.).
Also, I enjoy the no charge for minutes used when talking to other AT&T customers. Being that my parents and I subscribe to AT&T, this gives my mother and me license to drive each other crazy by phoning each other multiple times throughout the day!
Convenience is another benefit, and one great thing for me is that an AT&T store is right around the corner from where I live. That way, if I need new accessories for my phone, such as a new battery or charger, there is a store just a hop, skip and jump away. While I know that sometimes there is that dreadful feeling that the store may be too crowded and a long wait will ensue, I have found that going right when the store opens is usually a good time to beat the crowd.
As far as my wireless and wired Internet access, being that I have a desktop and a laptop, my speed of service with AT&T has been convenient and relatively consistent. This of course is hugely important as I work from home often and need that sense of reliability.Another great benefit of AT&T is that now it is the Wifi provider at Starbucks, and as an AT&T customer, I can now get free Internet access while sipping on my iced grande nonfat two Equal latte! What a double delight. Up until just a few months ago, Starbucks only offered T-Mobile, which would require my paying a fee for usage, but those days are gone, thank goodness. And, even if you are not an AT&T customer, you will be able to get free Internet access for two hours at Starbucks, but I am not sure the rollout on that is complete at this time.
Good customer service is very hard to find these days, yet it still exists. I have called AT&T multiple times, including getting assistance setting up a two-wire modem, and have had nothing but positive experiences. At times, I have let my frustration at being somewhat technologicall challenged come out in my tone of voice, and not one of the friendly AT&T folks has lost their cool. Now, that is impressive!

All in all, my experience with AT&T has been a positive one, and I have been a customer in some form or fashion for the past ten years. I have often heard friends complain about other services and tend to encourage them to try AT&T. I certainly do not work for AT&T, nor do any of my friends. My recommendation is based on the fact that I am a demanding type of consumer and clearly know what I like and what I don't like And, if a company's services meet my needs and expectations, and for years on end, then it only makes sense to pass along the good experience to others.

I had AT&T for years as my home telephone service. I switched to Vonage - way better! :)
