By the year of 1979-80 i was 11-12 years old.I was finishing primary schooll (in Greece officially are 6 years the first schooll then is 6 years high schooll and then if you make it is University)my older brother told me that in our town will come 2 HARD ROCK groups for a concert in one local cinema.I liked music but i didn't have yet a music identity,so i said yes bro i will come if you take me with you,so that was it .That night i will never forget in my life.Guys with long black hairs and shining guitars stoll my heart,for my luck i found a friend there in my age that we went schooll together.We were the youngest in this place,all the others were up 16.OH GOD what was that,i lost my mind,perfect music ,the first group were NEMESIS and they were playing LED-ZEPELIN,JIMMY HENDRIX,DEEP PURPLE and many others,i told you they stoll my heart,groups were both from GREECE,i remember that the singer of NEMESIS playing also electric violin.......................fantastic,i turned back and............all of the people was dansing and shaking and up to their heads turning round their jakets their t-shirts................and of course screaming .........................the second group was the famous SOCRATES.......with a couple of albums with records sold even the USA.They played their own songs .Hard rock songs with hard rifs and solos from a guitar player that i now believe he is one of the best in the world MR.SPATHAS.One of the songs was MOUNTAINS which contained 15 minutes of traditional folk sounds and scales and 2 minutes of hard rif came out from HELL................3 nights i was dreaming that night.Dreams stops when i bought my first guitar after a couple of years.Next day i search all the music stores to find......................i didnt now what.........................Hey what is this......................i think i found something.................yes yes yes they called it ........DEEP PURPLE....MACHINE HEAD..........SMOKE ON THE WATER..........words and sounds that will companying me in the rest of my life till now.....i still got the tape in my library..........I will never forget that night .............haunted my life................i hope all ghosts of all of you be like mine..........................to be continued.
