Shooting my first roll

Sunday was a very busy day, but I could look forward to having Monday off.
It was down into the West End, back up and down the the M4, no time to bite my or suck my fingers.
Well I could live with that, as it's not something plumbers do! but next to me, on my journey was my the K2.
At the end of that days work, there was I all on my lonesome but not feeling lonely.
After cleaning up and grabbing a snack, it was time to go through the usual thing of focus all over again.
The strange thing I did not press the trigger once, and I was itching to do so.
After a good nights sleep I made up my mind that I was going to shoot my first roll of film.
I started out by pointing the camera out of the window, the sweet sound of the shutter closing.
Keeping my eyes on the meter needle as it sat in the middle of the empty space and click.
After taking about ten frames, I told myself it was time to hit the road, to use up the roll.
As I walk along I'm seeing faces the way I never looked at faces before, so much characters and so much expressions.
Need I say I was camera shy, I did not lift the camera to my eye once.
Instead I headed for the park, Southall main road was a bit too much for my first shoot.
While walking through the park it came to me, 'head for the canal', it was there I found my first living subject.
Yes, my first live subjects were ducks, swans and a few canal dwellers from a distance.
When the roll was finished I headed for the chemist, still looking at faces as they went by.
I now had an empty camera and a four hours wait to see what my first shoot would look like.
So while I'm waiting, it was back to focusing but now I can press the trigger, and listening to the sound of the shutter.
