I have been boarded up In my room for almost 3 hours now . I decided that would be my best defense In fighting this swine flu . I have beers and my access to hubpages plus " Alice In Chains " Is playing In the background so I believe I have all the necessary tools In order to beat this thing . I live approximately 15 miles from the border . So I have pretty close proximity to Mexico . I was OK this weekend then on Saturday It started , first the Incessant coverage by all the cable news channels . And then I went to my friend Ricardos house this weekend for our Carne Asada bash ! The topic came up again . My paranoia grew ! Did Jordan just sneeze ? FOR GOD,S SAKE SOMEBODY PUT A MASK ON THAT GUY ! And do not let him near the Dos Equis and the Bud Light .!!!!!

                    I could only have a couple though , then I switched to Diet Coke . [ I did have to drive ! ]  Realizing that I could be In mortal danger I had to leave after a few hours , plus Jose one of my Amigos from work was gettin a little out of control !

                  Sunday was fairly normal for me . But again I probably have weird standards . Read the Papers ,listened to 80s music . And Susan and I went to that Beyonce movie . [ It was No " Dumb and Dumber " but they dont make classics like that everyday ! ] And Lo and behold someone relatively close to me sneezed ! My Internal alarms rung wildly ! Susan was oblivious to this and I knew I dare not disturb her  , so I endured the rest if the movie . Beyonce and that Ali Larter gal made It somehow tolerable ! But still my paranoia grew.

               And then this morning I believe It came on full bore ! The first symptom happened at 4:50 this morning when my alarm went off . I thought about Monday I was Immediately annoyed . I knew that was my first symptom and In the throes of a full on viral attack ! But come to think of It I am usually annoyed on Monday , sometimes Tuesday and you know what Wednesday gets on my nerves too , Nevermind . So I got to work a little before 6 AM and then It happened  , THE COFFEE HAD NOT BEEN MADE YET ! I flew Into an Internal rage , I got the paper the flu Is all over the front page . Arquis and Robert are talking about It . Did Mario just sneeze ? GET ME OUT OF THIS GERM FACTORY !! But I need a cup of coffee first !

                 I soldiered on through the course of the day . In spite of the fact this corporation  Is trying to kill me ! And then dammit the radio comes on ,everybodys talkin about It ! Mario sneeezed again ! I am Incubating this damn virus and I know my boss wants me dead ! I do tend to have a difference of opinion with him once In a while . I am just glad to have decent medical and dental too . I gotta have a root canal Wednesday  . I hope that office Is safe !

              So I know that at this time everything Is seemingly OK . But I know that In the safety of my room  I can beat this thing . I have all the necessary elements to hold and outlast that damn virus ! I have to switch to Diet Coke because I have to go back to that Germ Incubator I call my workplace In the morning . And quite frankly I get the distinct feeling Susan could give a damn that I have holed up .  Oh well to my fellow hubbers I recommend you read some of the helpful hubs they have written here on staying healthy .
