Success is defined in my book as, "living well, being content with what one has and if you're the person you want to be". i.e. If you are happy with who you are, where you are at this stage in your life and are content...then you are a "success" in the scheme of things.

success has been looked at as something that is measured by how much attention it gets. now the only kind of success anyone should be interested in is personal. Now, that is not meant to sound selfish because personal success can also involve others. success in this world that we live in is measured on a scale of self worth and determination. if you really look at "successful" people you see a selflessness. that is the key to success.

Success is subjective. If you are satisfied, that means you are successful.

Success is relative. Someone can work all their life, have millions of dollars, but not feel successful. On the other hand, a person can live in a run down mobile home, but have everything they want and need. They consider themselves successful.

Success is a state of mind. Having goals in life is productive, but keep in mind your limits. But, life is to be enjoyed. I doubt that many people, on their death beds, say, "I wish I had worked more."

The logic of worldly success rests on a fallacy: the strange error that our perfection depends on the thoughts and opinions and applause of other men! A weird life it is, indeed, to be living always in somebody else’s imagination, as if that were the only place in which one could at last become real!
