My second week on Hubpages!
57I'm still getting started!
My training wheels are still firmly on!
Well, it's the end of my second week on Hubpages. There have been some more small victories, and some more challenges – and I want to share my thoughts and feelings about exactly what a beginner on Hubpages should expect from their hubs and the relative success that they might have.
Hubchallenge-d?
When I started on Hubpages, like many people, I was bursting with energy and enthusiasm. I wanted to post 100 hubs full of great information and useful tips for people using the service as well as people who might be considering joining. I wanted to create my own encyclopedia of information – but I quickly realised that it might not be as easy as that.
The Hubchallenge (30 hubs in 30 days) was a challenge that I wanted to try to attack, and because there is one subject that I can talk about a lot – the funny Facebook status – I felt like there would be no problem for me to reach this 30 day target. Well, this week I met my first challenge – even though I have produced 14 hubs now, there were only 13 after the first week (which meant that I was behind schedule). I felt pretty bad about this, but I turned this negative energy into positivity and told myself that I would just produce two or three on another day and get back ahead of myself. That's today's plan!
Stats
Well, I thought I would share my stats with you just so that you can get an idea of what someone who now has 13 hubs is looking at in terms of visitors and also in earnings (I mean, most people who publish information on the internet want to do it because they want to earn money!).
# Your Hubs have been viewed 628 times
I felt good about this number, even though it might be on the low side. I have seen real growth in all of my hubs since they were 'indexed' by search engines like Yahoo! And Google, so I think these numbers might even grow more in the future!
# Your highest HubScore: 83
It seems that writing original and informative content means that your Hubscore will always remain high. Don't write trash and don't copy from other people!!
# Comments posted to your Hubs: 6
I don't write controversial hubs and I don't really ask questions, so I'm not too surprised that there aren't too many comments yet. We'll see how this develops in the future.
# Number of fans: 3
AH! Just three fans – but I hope that they're receiving my hubs and are getting some info from them! Hi guys!
Well, that's the recap of my second week on Hubpages. This morning (the 15th day) I noticed that another of my hubs has jumped by more than 100% in traffic (70 more visitors) overnight, but more about that next week! Until then, stay hubbing!
