OK being a typical Aussie male I love a nice cold beer like the next bloke, so I decided to share my favourite top ten beers from around the world which I have managed to try with a few hangovers added in for good measure. I'm not a beer conersiour or a beer expert but I do now what I like.

So I start

1 )Miller Genuine Draft

USA

I love this beer it's smooth and it's easy to drink. It is made in USA and it's imported into Australia, it is expensive to buy so I'm afraid I don't have millers beer all the time usually special occasion's then I enjoy it more.

2) Heineken

Dutch

I love this beer because it's easy to drink and taste nice it's full strength so a few of these and your on your ear but it's nice to bring to a party or socialise with your friends.

3) Corona

Mexico

Mexico's finest beer Corona Extra is lighter than traditional beers and goes down really well sometimes to well because you forget sometimes how many you had.

4) Red back

Australian

Redback is Australia's original wheat beer, brewed from both malted wheat and malted barley and a blend of Saaz and Pride of Ringwood hops. The combination of quality ingredient's and the care taken by Matilda Bay's brewers result in a unique refreshing beer that has a rich creamy mouth feel and a subtle bitterness on the palate.

5) Stella Artois

Belgian

Belgians have been making beer since the 14thcentury and Stella Artois reflects this tradition of finely crafted brewing. The world 'Stella' is Latin for 'star' and Stella was originally a limited release Christmas beer. The word Artois comes from the surname of the master brewer, Sebastian Artois.

6) Cascade Premium Lager

Australian

Cascade Premium Lager is the original Tasmanian premium beer from Australia's oldest continually operating brewery in the foothills of Mount Wellington in Hobart. Cascade's brewers combine traditional brewing skills and the purest mountain water with the best of Tasmania's barley and Pride of Ringwood hops to create the purest beer in the country.

Renowned for its legendary taste and exceptionally smooth, full flavour it's the longer than usual maturation (extended lagering) that develops elegant fruit flavours, and a full mid-palate lingering to a crisp, spicy hop finish. The result is a beer of distinction to suit the most discerning palate. Cascade Premium Lager is one of Australia's most awarded beers, more recently endorsed by a panel of respected beer experts at the inaugural Australian Good Taste Beer Awards 2003 - taking out top honours in a highly competitive field, winning the gold medal for 'Best Premium Beer in Australia'

7)Hahn Premium

Australian

Hand crafted with higher malt levels and a blend of three special hops, Hahn Premium Lager is a true premium beer. Hahn Premium is brewed using genuine German Hersbrucker hops, grown on the Hersbruck Hills North of Munich. The German hops add a high aroma value to the brew with a relatively low level of bitterness. The hops are added very late in the brewing process to highlight their aromatic quality and provide a fresh green and herbacous aroma.

8 )Becks

German

Beck's premium pilsener is instantly recognisable by its crisp, fresh palate and slightly bitter aroma. This has made Beck's a world class pilsener.

9 )Steinlager

New Zealand

Steinlager is a lager with a distinctive grassy note and clean crisp bitterness of green bullet hops. It is balanced with a dry, astringent finish.

10 ) Tooheys Extra Dry

Australian

Tooheys Extra Dry is a crisp dry finish lager. The dry finish is achieved by an extended fermentation, ensuring minimal residual fermentable sugars. Wonderful fruity, malty notes accompany a mellow middle palate leaving a clean aftertaste

There are heaps of to mention but these are my top ten favourite beers of all time in fact Im thirsty now I might crack a cold one .

Love Corona, it's holiday beer. Think I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't like lime with it, though. Love lime, too - just not in my beer.

I really enjoy Stella Artois! Have you ever tried Bue Moon? I like it as well. The Cascade sounds delicious, I'll have to see if I can find some. It's so warm here, you're making me thirsty!

Well, beer isn't the only spirit out there. I'm a big fan of spiced and flavored rums. And I rarely get hangovers... I can actually count one, about 30 years ago, after a night of cheap wine drinking... ALOT of cheap wine.

Here's one to try: Ursus beer from Romania. Also Harghita beer. They don't export them, but if ever you're in Romania, these are as good as you will find anywhere. Personally I've always had a weakness for Czech beers too. And Polish beers...
